Replaced old, easily fitted. Would prefer metal to plastic on the facia, but can’t complain at the price.

I knew that this product should exist, but it took me a while to track it down. This is exactly what you need if you want to install a click-clack waste into a basin which has an old-fashioned plug and the overflow running through a separate tube which joins below the plug hole. It comes with all the washers for fitting, and even a new chrome piece for the basin overflow. You need to use a slotted click-clack waste. It's a shame that such a great product has such a poor description.

It seems to be difficult to find a waste with overflow that will fit this correctly. What i mean by this is that once taking into account the thickness of the sink, the fitting if this to the waste results in a miss alignment of the holes for the overflow with the body of this unit. It effectivly results in an area for water to settle between the body of this item and the waste with the whole in the waste being above the body of this unit meaning that it cant escape into the waste.Worse still any water going down the waste will fill this space also meaning that there is likely to always be water sittin in this space waiting to leak out. Ihavent tried ut yet but im not sure how much i trust the washers that come with it and the waste.It does look like it could the do the job. Will report back after testing.

A real problem solver - but unless I had read someone else's review I would not have realized that it was exactly what I needed as the information on-line is not detailed enough

This is a waste of money, it’s for a kitchen sink with a bigger overflow outlet! As this will not fit the smaller basin overflow.
