It got one for our Ego blower and trimmer because I was tired of the originals dying before I could finish. I had a battery for each but they never seemed to last long enough to finish either job. Now I can weed eat everything and still have battery life left. It is a little bigger and a little heaver but not really a big enough difference that I would really think about using the old battery instead. Strangely the blower seems to be more powerful and I have to be careful in the lava rocks that I don't blow them out of the enclosure. I can't really speak about the longevity in years but since I use it once a week I haven't noticed any difference so far. I also like the circular battery life lights as I can tell how much charge it has at any given time. The originals also have degradable connections and must be sanded off every so often or just won't work, cutting off in just a few seconds. For the money, if it dies after a single year I would buy it again without giving it a second thought.

I am happy with it, the re-charge time is acceptable and I can use the charger I have for my full-sized battery.A smaller tool would probably not be an issue. I plan to buy another if my full-sized battery continues to wear down. I have had it for 6 years. 2 of the smaller will cost less than one full-sized battery.

Using this in the eGo mower to back up my stock 7.5 amp battery. Battery life is about what I'd expect as compared to the 7.5 amp.Important notes:The 'gauge' does not act as a capacity meter as on stock eGo batts, it's more of a voltmeter. You'll note that it quickly drops to 2 bars, and will stay there, bouncing between one and two depending on load. You do get some warning before the battery is completely depleted.The signalling to the charger seems to be reversed on my unit. A full battery pack signals 'hot batt' to my charger, so the fan runs continuously (days) after a charge but charging stops, so no big deal. Alternately, a hot batt just from use signals 'Full batt' to the charger, it indicates full charge and won't charge the hot battery (good), but doesn't run the cooling fan, which is a slight negative. Maybe I'll have some time to open it up and switch those terminals.Will update on its longevity if anything notable occurs.

Bought this battery it lasted 27 days will not hold a charge and is so dead brother charger will even power up

I put the battery in lawn mower and just let it idle with the mower blade spinning. This new battery lasted 55 minutes until the mower stopped. I have 2 5ah ego batteries from 2019 that lasted 61 and 65 minutes. All of the batteries were charged to 100% prior to the test. Overall, new battery doesn't exactly match up to original in amp hours. However, based on the price this product is good on value if the cost is 1/2 or 2/3 of the ego battery cost. Plastic housing is inferior to original. Love the charge light.I don't like that it doesn't have venting for the batteries. Lithium ion is happiest when not too hot or cold. if you fast charge this, and use it, and fast charge, you might degrade the battery quickly as it will get too hot. One way to get around this would just use a slow charger all the time.

This replacement has great performance, fits right and feels like good quality. I hate that there is no trade in program for these batteries. What am I supposed to do with my old one?

I was looking for a resinay priced replaceEnt battery for my evo mowerThis is cheap and what you get. It is compatible but only runs for 30 minutes on a full charge. Which means i have to mow my lawn in 3 sessions/days or buy another one . Disappointing for sure

This battery holds its charge for multiple use.

Battery is lighter than the original one it was to replace. Pleasantly surprised to see how well the battery holds a charge. So far works as well as an EGO branded battery but at about half the price.

So far it works and leaving up to my expectation. Not as powerful as the original batterybut it does the job. For spare battery I would say it does leave up to my expectation

Good value and better than original 2.5Ah that comes with the saw. Always was underpowered and too short lasting especially after 5 years where one of 2 of my batteries has fully failed now. Will buy again as long as I get at least 2 years use of new 5Ah knockoff.

The extra capacity is great !
