Okay, so I tried this Bare Biology Vitamin D spray, and honestly, it's the most fun I've had with a vitamin since… well, ever. I squirted it under my tongue, and for a moment, I felt like a tiny dragon, about to breathe sunshine. Now, I'm practically glowing, and my bones are probably doing the Macarena, thanks to all that D! Seriously, though, great stuff - will buy again.

Great spray, love this brand, easy to use

The taste is something to get used to but the applicator is great. No mess, no fuss. I would recommend adding some orange flavouring to the manufacturers so it tastes a bit better but all in all, this is a great product.

Good vitamin D with K2

We’ve added this to our daily routine and so far we’ve been quite impressed. The idea of this spray is that it helps with bones and the vitamin K helps with absorbing the vitamin D. Having it in a spray form really helps with absorption as well, though it’s not needed by everyone. And that’s the thing about this product; it really is the best you can get of what it is. But at quite a cost. I haven’t noticed much difference when using this but my wife has with her teeth and has continued with this combination of vitamins. She doesn’t need the spray form and if you don’t either then I’m not sure we’d recommend it. That said, if you do need, or really prefer, a spray form then this is very good and is on par with similar products that are all a high price. It’s effective and we are happy with it.

The Bare Biology Vitamin D3 4000IU + K2 100ug Daily Oral Vitamin D Spray arrives in a printed cardboard box without film wrap - so no plastic wrapping 👍. Printed on the box are the expiry date (06/26), the ingredients and the use instructions. The 25 ml solution is in a brown spray bottle (which is film wrapped with non-recyclable plastic). There is no GMP logo on the bottle. GMP is important for product quality The advice is 3 sprays under the tongue = 4000 IU vitamin D3 & 100 micrograms K2. The preparations also contains coconut MCG to aid the absorption of D3. Spraying under the tongue means that the dose will at the first pass by-pass the liver. This is not necessarily desirable as vitamin D3 needs to be activated further by a 25-hydroxylation in the liver followed by a 1-hydroxylation in the kidneys. So an under the tongue administration is not the best suggestion. The dose of 4000 IU is high (20x the NRV). That statement does not mean that the current NRV use in the UK & USA are correct (they even differ 2x) as this guidance is just to prevent rickets and there is a lot more to vitamin D than just rickets prevention. However the K2 is just a little above the NRV (which also is not well established). For the depths of winter in the UK 4000 IU may be OK but personally as a daily dose I feel this is high - I don’t have the same concerns at doses around 2000 IU. There is a lot of research out there - so you can decide for yourself and decide - one spray = just over 1000 IU of vitamin d3 but perhaps too little vitamin K2. And you can spray and swallow to get the vitamin D3 to first pass the liver. The spray works and the solution has a neutral taste. I will use it (but not every day) and most probably spray it onto yoghourt. At a current price of £18.00 with a 10% discount - this is a very expensive vitamin D3/K2 preparation

Bare Biology Vitamin D and K Where do I start! I am just so over the moon to have found this brand! I have Autoimmune problems and Fibromyalgia and I have to take Vitamin D. The trouble is I have so many intolerances that taking any supplement is a struggle. I am allergic to the standard vitamin D3 which is derived from lanolin so I have to take the Vegan form and I am intolerant to most additives, flavours, colours, preservatives etc. I have found various options in the past and then out of the blue the companies concerned started adding flavours etc rendering then unsuitable for me. In the end I ran out of options and have been paying a fortune to buy a spray in from Spain! But now this brand has hit the market and hopefully a company called ‘Bare Biology’ will stick to their guns and keep their product pure as I’m sure there others out there just like me. This spray that I have been sent to try is marvellous, it is completely natural, contains D3 and K in a coconut base. There is virtually no taste, maybe a very slight hint of coconut but nothing more. It’s vegan friendly and very easy to take, you just spray it under your tongue. No pills to have to swallow and no digestive problems. I think the branding is spot on too, love the name and love the box / bottle. I really am very pleased to have found this and will be putting in a regular order!
