Absolutely pointless
DO NOT BUY THIS! I have recently moved house and have had bother with cats using my garden as a toilet. Planted new grass seed for it to be dug up. Put this device 2 metres from the scene of the poo crime and the cats are still pooing. I have tried all the different settings on it but the cats still don't seem to bother. Waste of money!

It does the job
Now it's a month since I bought this item. The solar panel keeps it going, I only had to charge it once. Since I have it in the rised bed there are no more digging and poo from cats.

Works better than other animal repellents I've tried
I've just bought my third one, the first two having worked well over the past 6 months. It's ideal to be able to vary the pitch of the sound and also to have flashing on or off, as this variation means it's less likely for the animals to get used to it. Keeps working for many days in summer, though naturally needs topping up every few days in winter. I looked to see if there were even better alternatives, but noticed that reviews of other similar products were clearly not right, often for completely different products and almost certainly paid for. So I stuck with what I knew and I think I made the right choice.

Poor Product Design - waste of money
As many other reviews - poor product, worked initially for a month but when it started to rain the product started to malfunction, flashing/beeping constantly,no ability to reset it. Poor returns policy (1 month). Do not give it a "try". Do not waste your money on this unreliable product.

Not so great
Not so great. Does not always sound when motion is detected and animals still enter and poop in my front garden. Battery operated ones seem more reliable.Cannot be bothered to return.

No longer working
Had for about 17 months & now dead.Looks like it is still charging & getting power but believe that the variable potentiometer has failed, due to the fact that getting very high resistance readings when adjusting on the 100 K Ohm pot.To be perfectly honest over the time it was working it appeared little deterrent to the cats, no matter what settings were selected.

No more fox trouble
A fox was creating trouble in my backyard by digging up my planter box every single night. I had to clean up every morning.But with this awesome gadget, I have no more fox trouble. I set it on mode 5 and the fox only came back once. Got disturbed by the noise and never returned!

Worked ok until it rained.
As per title, seemed to deter some cats until it suffered with water ingress (was partially under cover too) once it started raining after this summers dry spell. Outside the return window, dissapointed.
