This was so easy to put together! I didn't have the correct container that I plan on using,but I wanted to practice on something different in case I messed up, so I scrubbed out an old litter container. I must say the practice was not really needed it was so easy. I didn't tighten each port tight enough so there was a slow drip. That seems to be corrected now that I tightened them better. Going to get a bucket now and I am going to order the one's for the food next!

These work incredibly well, and are very easy to install. They hold a good amount of water, and though the plastic is fairly thin they do feel like they'll be durable enough to stand being perched on and banged into by the birds. I like that this style of watering cup doesn't require the animal to do anything to make it work, which helps eliminate a lot of the worry that they won't "figure it out", and I opted for the wingnut design so that I can use them on containers as well as a standard PVC pipe system. The only complaint I do have is if your bird gets under the cup and pushes it upward it will absolutely pour water. They are large enough that multiple quail can drink from the same cup at the same time, which means that young quail can also stand on or in it, and if they can they absolutely will.I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the drill bit as well. Extremely sharp and very convenient to have the perfect size provided. Worth the purchase price, and I will probably buy additional cups from this brand in the future. Everything arrived in good shape without any damage or missing parts.

I wish the instructions explained how high up to mount these. You'd think that you should have them low to use all the water, but if low on the bucket, the cups are pushed up when resting on the ground and they leak while you're trying to fill the bucket.So make sure they are several inches up on the bucket.They were easy to install and so far do not leak at the attachment to the bucket.I do hang the bucket, but if the chickens bump into one of the cups ,it can twist it and then it will leak.I put four cups on two buckets.I'm wondering how long they will last. And I don't think they will go through winter freezes very well.

Just received and install them today. So I cannot attest to the longevity of these yet.They were very easy to install, took me about 5 minutes to put 4 bowls on the 5 gallon bucket. No leaking has been detected, water fills up like it should and stop when it reaches the full point. My 14 week old pullets have been using with ease.

As long as the cup is unobstructed from moving vertically, it performs well without leaks. If the cup doesn't fall to its resting position, it will leak. The most prominent issue is with the spring in-between the cup and the spigot. If your birds knock the cup out, and the spring goes missing, the cup won't perform as it should anymore. The product does not come with any replacement springs.

very flimsy, almost all of them failed after a few weeks to few months. They eventually leak or break and all the water from the container drains. Don't leave on vacation depending on these to take care of your chickens water needs or you may come back to dead chickens.

I don’t have to give my chickens water everyday, I have 3 - 5 gallons buckets with 7 water nipper on each bucket.. I have to fill each bucket up every 3 days. I love it.
