Second purchase. Highly recommended for diorama buidling.
I'm new to diorama making and building one all around a slot car track for a Christmas present. This is my second purchase of these XPS foam sheet panels. As you can see in the photos, with a little practice and after watching a few tutorial videos from pro artists, you can make these panels look like just like real concrete walls, parking blocks, sidewalks and a couple volcanoes. Definitely recommend.

FALSE ADVERTISING!
NOT XPS FOAM!! Not at all what was advertised. The dimensions are off, and it is not a good modeling foam. If I could give it zero stars I would. Crazy to waste $30 because of false advertising. Such a shameful brand.

Easy to work with
Used this for my mini graveyard. Pretty easy to cut and shape with blade. Takes paint well. Wish it was sold in lesser quantity bc I only used 2 sheets.

A great foam to carve
I have read a lot of the other reviews and yes it is more porous and not as smooth as other foams or XPS insulation … but the open pores and the ease of using a craft knife and sculpting tools, is wonderful for creating the texture of rocks/stones/boulders for what I am using. I don’t find it breaks off while trying to cut or shape it. You need to use stronger tools but it can still be carved well. gauche paint definitely didn’t adhere to it but Acrylic works just fine. You may have to add some layers of paint to cover it all but if you sand it down first it’s even easier.

Half an inch or more smaller than advertised.
They weren't the correct size.

NOT XPS, also NOT the stated dimensions
I should have read the reviews, but I took the listing at face value. This is not XPS, this is some other kind of material. It is not as dense as true XPS foam is. This feels more like some cheap styrofoam. The dimensions are also not in inches. They are in centimeters. If you are trusting this to be 15x12 inches like I was, you will be in for a nasty surprise because it's actually 38cm by 30cm. I'm not sure I can use this in my project, so there's a good chance I'm going to be returning it. It's not unworkable, and I'm sure some folks would buy it knowing the above caveats - but I spent way too much money only to receive something that was not what was advertised.
