Exactly what I needed.
So, I returned home from holiday and noticed a few things had disappeared from my garden. This spurred me to purchase a video camera to monitor the property.I did a fair amount of research and was looking for a wire free option as the house I live in rented...I didn't want to start drilling holes everywhere and running wires through walls and window frames! At last found a few options that suited my needs. This one however stood out; it comes with a solar panel so I don't need to plug any other power supply in...its totally self contained. The solar panel is quite small so was un sure how well it would charge the battery. I needn't have worried....it charges the camera perfectly well....its not been particularly sunny of late and the battery level is maintained around 60 to 67% by the solar panel.Set up is extremely easy...plug it in, scan the QR code and follow the instructions...couldn't be more straightforward; it was literally 3 minutes and it was done.Three screws each for the camera and the solar panel and its now mounted above the front door..another 5 minutes. So maximum 10 minutes and it's installed and running. The app works great too...can monitor the camera from work or anywhere else via my smartphone.I put in a 128gb sdhc micro card for hard copy recordings as well as signing up for the free week of cloud storage.....I'll certainly sign up for a storage plan, just unsure of which one will suit me.The camera itself is very well made of decent quality materials and the LED is plenty bright enough to cover the front of my property at night.Picture quality is great with a 2K sensor but you can also use an SD stream for lower data usage if needed. Either way the picture quality is good enough for car reg identification or recognising faces ...no blurry images here! There is also a siren but haven't had cause to use it ....its reasonably loud, certainly loud enough to act as a deterrent. To summarise this is a great camera that ticks all the boxes and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to anyone in the market for a security camera and floodlight.

Excellent in every way
I have bought several of these cameras, both for my parents home and mine and they are excellent. Very easy to set up and install and to manage afterwards. My parents are in their 80s and have no problem navigating the footage and adjusting the settings. We went for the solar powered version for my parents so they don’t need to recharge at all.But not only is this a great product, the customer / after sales service is second to none. One of the 10 cameras that i have ordered all together had a fault on the charging, I contacted iegeek and received a quick response with troubleshooting pointers, these unfortunately did not work, and i received a replacement camera straight away, plus an additional solar panel as compensation.I cannot recommend iegeek products enough - excellent functionality, affordable, ease of use, exceptional customer aftersales care!Thank you iegeek

Absolutely fantastic - an update
Update to my review below. The camera is still fantastic but the customer service is even better! I’d misplaced the original mounting bracket for the camera so contacted ieGeek’s customer service. Without any quibble at all, they agreed to ship a replacement which I received last week. Summary - a great camera and even better support… and they keep coming out with even better models. Don’t look past them.To start with, I've had many security cameras from various manufactures over the years. Some from ieGeek (strange name btw a bit like the Kia Pro C'eed a few years back!), and others from competitors. I've also got several motion sensitive floodlights around my property. To start with the pain has always been when the batteries get low and you have to get up ladders to change the batteries. Or for some with inbuilt lithium ion rechargeable batteries you need to do the same thing. Get the ladder up, take the camera down and then charge the thing. Then back up the ladder to reinstall it. The solar panel negates this problem with a trickle charge constantly keeping the battery charged. I bought this recently when we had entered autumn months so time will tell how it fares in the shorter days in the winter. That's the first thing. The second is, if you have anything worth stealing any burglar worth his salt in the advent of commonplace CCTV will still knick your property regardless of CCTV images. They simply put their hoodie up and carry on regardless. So resolution of images is paramount. Gone are the days of grainy night-vision recordings from my previous cams. The image from these at night is awesome. Colour images at night with no distortion. So you can tell if the arse scoping your property is wearing a blue, black or even pink hoodie. And I think this is down to the included floodlights. Without these it would just be another cam with night vision. I assume this is where they get the colour night-time images from. So the floodlights serve a dual purpose. They alert the potential burglar that they've been detected and also allow 2K footage to be caught in colour. So much better in evidence to use with the police or the courts. But the latter shouldn't be a concern. With security, be that burglar alarms, motion detectors or cameras, the main purpose is to get any potential burglar to move on to another house because yours in too high risk. The cam records to both the Cloud and an internal micro-SD card (should you install one). So should power drop, the recordings will still be available on the SD card. The only potential gripe I have is, one of the manufacturers of another brand of camera have now stopped the free cloud storage of recent activity. Sure, they've had an option for years for users to upgrade to 30 days paid-for subscription to their cloud-based service. But that is ceasing. So the only peace of mind now with their cams is that should an incident occur where you need footage, you'll need to get up that ladder again to extract it from the micro SD card. Not a deal breaker but as Ronnie Barker would have said in Episode 1 of Porridge, "What with these feet?".All in all this camera has it all. Fab resolution, motion detection for both the floodlights and the cam itself, high resolution night and day colour recordings, solar charging, app integration and sensible alerts. I'll keep an eye on the latter and if it is just marketing B***hit will update this review.
