Great little lathe
This is the third time I bought one of these little woodturning lathes. The previous two that I bought were just so cheap and flimsy I couldn't use them. This one actually has a little beef to it for such a little thing. But I am very happy with it and I will make more money doing Christmas ornaments than the very reasonable price that they charge for this product. My suggestion is by this one and quit looking at the others cuz they suck...

A little powerhouse!
As a custom ring maker, I've been using micro-lathes for over 5 years and can confidently recommend them for this application. Their compact size allows them to fit within a dust collection hood, which is ideal for indoor use when working conditions aren't ideal in your shop. This particular model impressed me with the abundance of usable accessories specifically suited for ring making. For example, the extended bed length provides more working space for holding the ring mandrel and manipulating the ring stock. Additionally, the stabilizing feet make a world of difference in terms of stability – a must-have feature for precision work like rings where even slight movement can affect the outcome. Overall, the extended functionality and improved stability make this lathe a worthwhile investment that should last for many years to come, just like my previous one.

Unstable, can't keep tension
Pros: Inexpensive, and in most cases the motor does work Cons: The feet slide/turn and it constantly unscrews itself at the tailstock (I tried using a wrench to hold it), causing a wobbly mess that drops what you are working on. I was trying to carve basswood and it could barely handle that. Wouldn't recommend.

Might and small
This is an amazing product small and strong it have a a multiple variable speed .. max diameter of wood is 2".. you might need some lock tight on thw screws it might become loose when working so highly recommended to put one in..

Mini Lathe
I bought this with the idea that I would turn bridge pins for my guitars on it. Ordered it and found it on my door step the next day. Wow Amazon! Unpacking it showed no surprises. Well packaged. Quite a few odds and ends were included for sanding, shaping, and turning. It comes with a chuck that will open to 9/32”. The manual is actually very good for these type of import small tools. Useful information with numerous pictures. Very thorough. Everything went together as shown. I was impressed by how well things slid together. The little tail stock glides nicely as does the tool rest. I read complaints about the tool rest not being able to be set close enough to the stock. I found switching the cinch bolt to the opposite side solves this problem. Turning on it is another thing. Motor speed is set on the power supply. Mine would not spin on the lowest setting. Next one up it worked fine. It spins pretty fast so develop a light hand. The tool that was included was ok to play with but I have a small set of tools that worked much better. Overall this is meant for small items like finials or bridge pins or… but it does work and works pretty well.

Don't waste your money
Worked well for about 3 months and then the bearings went out in the tail piece making it completely useless. Would NOT recommend.

Nice small lathe with nice features
I bought this lathe to replace one I had that was not working too well. I really like this machine! It is easy to setup and comes with all the tools you need to use it as well as some very nice items such as a saw blade. I have used it several times and it tracks well and the piece is easy to work. It does not, however, come with the standard curing tools although it has a tool that can be used in a limited fashion. It does have some tools for making round objects much easier than with standard tools. The only complaint I gave is that the screw to tighten the tool rest is in a position such that you cannot undo it when you have a piece mounted. If you know this you can preposition it. However, if you have a piece longer than the tool rest it is difficult to move. I still like this lathe and would purchase it again if I need another one.

Excited at first but failed
Motor stops turning intermittently, smells like motors burnt from the first start of it or it will just randomly shut off and stop working, also missing part of the set like sanding disc's, and other items
