AqueonQuietFlow® Internal Filter with SmartClean™ Technology Extra Small

I have it installed in a 5 Gal. tank for a betta, and it is quiet. The adjustable flow is a plus also, and it seems to keep the tank very clear.

It's right next to where I work from home, and I can't hear that it's on. I've already don a few water changes with it, which have been very quick and easy. Have a reminder set up to replace the filter since the directions said the natural material will start to breakdown.

No having to remove a sponge and clean it in dirty tank water. Just take the old cartridge out and slip the new one in. The bio filter takes care of the water chemistry. Keeps my tank really clean.

Didn't filter well in my 5-gallon tank. I bought this because my tank is a "specialty" tank that has a complete cover - no cutout - so I wanted a filter that would work with it. It's a 5-gallon tank, so should have worked. It gets jammed from what it sucks up so the flow was horrible. The filters are "biodegradable" so they break down quickly and really didn't help. I ended up replacing the tank so this got thrown on the shelf as a backup.

I have multiple tanks this filter model is working great. I purchased for a guppy tank that always seems to have a few babies, the tank is lower to the ground making water changes with vacuum tricky. The cleaning feature doesn't work out for me as I had hoped, it's not far enough away from the tank to empty tank water so minus a star. I still need to find the right sized tubing to make that work. The filter itself is effective,and will accommodate replacement media that is cut to fit. I have the cheaper flat glass top on this tank so filter installation is ideal with nothing hanging over or lowering water level under the lid. The suction cups were why I purchased and this filter is working out great so far. Noise level is average to fairly quiet.
