Fun Game that takes some Learning
I got this game to play with my brother in law because he is a history buff and this game looked to intrigue that interest of his. As a family, we love to play card games, and this game seemed to be a lot of fun. We like the quality of the game cards, the play field, and how you can easily setup the game around a table. It is to set up the game with the players, but you need to make sure everyone knows how to play, which can get a little complicated, actually. The instructions aren't terrible, but we took to YouTube to actually see how people play the game, which made it much easier to understand. We love games where you get to blindly select cards, and then get to see who you are and have an air of mystery in how you play. This makes that much more complex in that you have to battle each other, pull cards and hope that you play a higher weapon card and defeat your opponent. There is a lot of deceit that you have to employ to gain the upper hand, and depending on who you play with, this can become quite challenging. Just make sure you have the patience to play a long game. This one isn't as quick as other mystery games can go.Overall, it's a fun game, but you will want to take to an outside source to really learn how to play. I find with these types of games, the instructions work, but getting an active walk through makes it so much better.

Moderately fun game.
I ordered this [BLUE CHIMP GAMES Boston Massacre Game - A 5-10 Player Battle of Wits, Deception and Hidden Identity] and finally got around to playing it with some friends. It's definitely a "beer and chips" sort of game. It was relatively easy to learn and we had a good time. I'm not sure how much playtime this will see with my group, but it's always nice to have another option on the shelf. I think for other groups might enjoy this a bit more mostly because we usually enjoy more intensive strategy games. Overall I would recommend this if you're looking for a light but fun party game.Basically this is how the game goes:1). Players are randomly given player cards (Patriot, Redcoat or Benedict). 2). Everyone closes their eyes and the Redcoats and Benedict open their eyes to see each other; 3). Then the game begins along with a full on war of deceit, persuasion and cunning weapon play. 4). The first team to win 5 battles wins the game. 5). Benedict should remain discreet through the process. If revealed to be a Redcoat spy they compromise their chance for a win.

Poor instructions
The description for this game sounded like something that was perfect for my board game group.Deception, backstabbing, secrets, it sounds fun. However the instruction book is super small, hard to read and understand, so we went to YouTube to watch a video on how to setup the game and how to play.Unfortunately the people in the video went too fast, and assumes that you are already familiar with the game. We went to the offical website for the game, which redirected us back to the same videos. We looked up the game at boardgame geeks and boardgame arena (both are board game websites) The only thing we found was a post saying how the instructions and video sucked, and we agreeWe tried our best to setup the game and play it, but we gave up after an hour. Our group of mid 30's to 40's adults gave it our best shot, but we ended up just giving up and playing something elseYour experience might be different, maybe we are just not bright enough for the game

We enjoyed the game, more players the better
We enjoyed the game, more players the betterThis "BLUE CHIMP GAMES Boston Massacre Board Game - A 5-10 Player Battle of Wits, Deception and Hidden Identity" is fun and enjoyable. Initially, it does take some time to learn about the game, but once everyone gets it, it goes a lot smoother. It may be beneficial to go to their website to watch some setup and gameplay video. Nice box, and good quality game pieces/components (mainly cards). I found that the more players there are, the more fun this game is. There isn't that many games out there that can support as much as 10 players as this one is, so in that aspect, its a pros for this game.Overall, this game is fun, and engaging; and for $25, I think it is justified and worth the money.Thank you for reading this review, I hoped that this review is helpful to you in support of your purchase decision.

Love the strategy aspect
I could keep playing games of this all night long. Reminds me of a game called BANG!, but games are generally a lot shorter. Gameplay is intense when you're trying to deceive your friends and gameplay is smooth quickly as rules are quick to pick up.

Fun Game
It is a party game. Or one for a large family. It took a while for me to be in a position to actually play it. But when we did, we had fun. Took roughly 25 minutes to play and certain aspects reminded me of the card game Werewolf. There are Patriots, Redcoats, and Benedict Arnold. Benedict has to try and remain hidden to help the Redcoats to victory. Good for people that love the Revolutionary War.

Poor instructions, has potential
Boston Massacre Game - A 5-10 Player Battle of Wits, Deception and Hidden Identity. The game sounded fun. When I saw it needed at least 5 players to play, I knew it was a game I wouldn't play often. Which makes it worse as you don't play it often to learn it well. The board game and pieces are well made and quality pieces. The instruction manual is very small with tiny font. Not sure what they were thinking for a game that needs good explanation. Every other page tries to direct you to their page for further instructions, but that just takes you to videos that look like they were home made and players who don't do well at explaining the game thoroughly. Immediately reading the manual there is no explanation of what they are referring to in the first step. A what? A who?The game has potential. If they put the effort in to a better guide to play it, it would make a big difference.
