Easy to fit and works a treat.

So far so good. Bought this to replace the standard cat flap from the same company which a pesky tomcat kept coming in, I naively didn't consider. Picture attached for chuckles... Same width as previous hole just had to cut the hole a bit longer.I really wanted to avoid cutting into the door, as the pane where I've put it is easy to replace in the future. Had hoped for a microchip flap but alas none of them fit so this is the next best thing... Cats were a little weary of the click when getting in but 20 minutes and a bowl of ham later they are coming in and out fine. Will be buying spare magnets in anticipation for lost collars.Let's see if it lasts well!

Easy to install. Good quality.However the magnetic fob attached to cats colar has to literally touch a very specific area of the catflap otherwise it won't open. I tried holding the magnet myself to see if it was something the cat was doing wrong but magnet range is really low.So if the cat is 5cm from the catflap or even inside as we were offering food from the inside it wont get the door unlock.Hope the seller can provide us with some extra advice as we followed all the product instructions.Also, there is no way to allow the animal entry without the magnet. As the magnet doesn't work, unless very close, it isn't possible for him to get in.

Very easy to use and a quick and efficient service

I find that it works ok, However, the battery cover dropped off and the battery fell out. It only happened once so maybe it wasn't on enough, or maybe the door was slammed by someone. I bought it to let my cat come in and out without the neighborhood cats coming in, but now it seems that we have it set so he can go out but has to ask to come in which s fine. The magnet fell off, but we found it so it's not lost. No matter what I did I could not convince my daughter's small Maltese Poodle to use it at all. It's on the rear porch outside door so we just leave taht open when she's visiting.

(Full Review)When I 1st had my cat I chose this particular cat flap unit to be fitted in the new external kitchen door because of the 4-way locking ability was perfect for all my needs. It lasted 10years and would still of been ok if not for the shadow boxing the cat chose to do on it fighting the bigger cats from the relative safety of indoors. So over time the flap and whole unit took a battering. I'm happy to say she's grown out of that phase now.So when choosing a replacement unit it was a simple choice and much easier to pick the exact same one because size wise the fitting would be simple.I found Amazon to be the cheapest by far than anywhere else I looked with most units selling upwards of £50!!The Cat Mate crew have made a great adjustment to this latest model by making it a Soft Closing flap. Essentially by reducing the weight of the magnet and flap itself. This is a big improvement as the previous model used to bang shut every time it was used. Now I barely hear it at all.A big plus point! The negative being that on occasion the flap doesn't quite close because of the reduced strength of the magnet, but I haven't experienced any unwanted visitors after 3months so I don't see it as a problem.Update:Buy magnets via link below. Wrap Only 3 in cling film to protect from weather. Add a 4th to use the sticky label. Place outside of flap above where existing magnet is. This will prevent flap staying ajar. Your cat wears a magnet which you fit on the collar that isn't too intrusive to them. Make sure the 'paw' is facing outwards.The 4-way locking comprises:• Fully Lock• Fully Unlock• Lock on the Inside• Lock on the OutsideSo for instance you can set it to lock from inside meaning your cat can enter (maybe last thing at night) then not get back out again. Or alternatively if you want your cat to stay out you can set it to prevent the cat coming back in until you are ready.Only the cats with a magnet can enter through the flap, even if set to unlock.This product is ideal if you either have one cat or you are happy for all your cats to follow the same regime.If you have more than one cat and maybe you need to keep a kitten indoors then Cat Mate make a Micro Chip unit where by you can individually program each chip (again worn on the collar) to allow entry/exit.I only have one cat at present so this suits all my needs.Template and screw fixtures for different depth fittings and 2 collar magnets are all supplied.Extra magnets can be bought seperately if you require more than two.Thankyou for reading my Full Review and if you've found it Helpful then please let me know.

I brought this a few years ago and my cats broke as they charge through it playing but not the cat flap was the cats so brought another

Fantastic customer support. Ordered item arrived quickly when installing fitted perfectly. The long screws for the outside of the door where absolute rubbish and after a few turns the heads were round not crossed. Ended up having to use the old screws from original one. Great product but spoilt by cheap screws

Needed it for one cat to get in and not the others. He’s rather pleased to not have the others following him in to his room. Easier than expected to install and worked exactly how I had hoped. So grateful this product exists.

It's a little smaller than I'd hoped but it does the job!

Muy buen producto fácil y eficiente para mi gatita

Habe 26 Jahre durchgehend eine Cat Mate Tür im Einsatz gehabt. Habe diese getauscht gegen die neue Tür. Tür passte 1 zu 1 in den alten Ausschnitt. Die Befestigungslöcher sind etwas versetzt zur alten Tür. Die Schrauben sind nicht sehr stabil, so dass ein vorbohren, der Befestigungslöcher im harten Holz notwendig ist, wenn man die Schraubenköpfe nicht abreißen möchte. Funktion ist voll gegeben und die Tür ist sehr leise beim öffnen und schließen, gerade da unsere Katzen gerne mal mit Vollgas durchrasen. Aus diesem Grund habe ich den Elektro Mechanismuss der Tür entfernt. Somit könnten zwar andere Katzen auch durch die Tür, jedoch ist dieses in 26 Jahren bei uns nie vorgekommen..... Preis Leistung absolut top.

Installing this flap was not difficult. Both sides can be screwed in the door, they dont need to align. My cat is accustomed to a chip flap, but that one got defect and they are too expensive these days. My cat is getting used to this one, its works fine.
