At least this one stays on unlike many other similar kids traffic lights. It has an auto and manual mode, which sounds promising. The lights change from green to red every 7 seconds on auto mode, which in itself is ok. The manual mode simply allows you to change the light yourself at the press of a button, but it doesn't actually change it to manual mode, it just carries on in auto mode. Press it again and the light will change and again it carries on in auto mode. I really would have expected manual mode to stay on the same colour until you press it again but instead it continues in auto mode. In other words all you are doing by pressing the button manually is speeding up the light change, which is hardly worth bothering with when it's changing every 7 seconds anyway! It seems well built though, but I am sure a lot more thought could have gone into the functions.

Nice toy!
One of the best educational toys for teaching road safety to toddlers. My three-year-old son likes putting this in the junctions on his car play-mat to control the traffic.

Great addition
Bought for my grandsons Marklin train set, good build quality and decent materials make for a solid little addition to his set, takes 2 AAA batteries.Lights can switch automatically or by the button on the base
