The Complete Gardener: A Practical, Imaginative Guide to Every Aspect of Gardening

We've recently moved into our new house and just had a chunk of plain lawn to play with. We bought this for some advice and inspiration and, with a lot of effort put in, we are really pleased with how things have turned out.Pretty much any questions we had about what to plant where and when, how to care for it etc. were all in this bible of gardening.

I know nothing about gardening and have inherited a veggie patch and polytunnel. With this book in hand I am loving my new hobby. Everytime I think "what do I do now" I find the answer in Montys book. Amazing and highly recommend it.

Very usefull book. At the same time very entertaining written by a very knowledgable, Nice and modentYou feel as If you are inside Monty Dons fantastic garden. He shares with you his great knowledge about plants and how to grow them and his excitement about Nature. A tremendous amount of practical information, all presented in a simple sympathetic manner. He has been a great inspiration for me.

I received this book just as winter was arriving so I have had plenty of time to read it. It is full of useful advice and information. Can't wait for the summer so I can get out into my garden and put my new found gardening knowledge to good use!

This book was bought as a present fo my wife as she loves gardening. Packed with plenty of photos, advice,, she loves it.

It is a good book for beginners to gardening. Beautifully written and super photos. Would have liked a bit more detail on growing fruit and veg but overall I'm enjoying it as a reference book that is not too serious with rules.

Great book only got more into gardening in the last few years. Monty's book was great really well written with so much info about the seasons & growing fruit & veg. Alittle expensive but you get what you pay for.

Bought for wife who loves Montys gardening programs. Would like to give his book 5! stars. Wife disappointed to see it was quit an old edition.
