Q: Has anyone used the d7 or d8 with a 2017 or newer ram 1500 pickup truck?

I have used it on my 2019 ram 1500 5.7l. At the time I didn't have the 12+8 adapter but I did have a security bypass module from another company that allowed me to read and clear fault codes. Auto scan wouldn't read the Vin. Maybe if I use the xtool adapter it might.

Hello, 2017 dodge ram is not required to work with 12+8 cable. Are you trying to program a smart key? D8BT does not support this car reading pin code, but you can consult the dealer, and then use the device to program the key.
