D.light S20 Solar Lantern, Orange

This is the fifth S20 lantern I have purchased - the others were gifts for family members. The lanterns are very good - well designed, seemingly well-built and do the job extremely well. Having dual-range light output is very helpful - sometimes you don't need a bright light and in this mode the battery lasts longer. They are also quite robust - we used them when attending to horses after dark and it was not uncommon for them to fall, or be dropped, onto wet and muddy pastures, all of which the lanterns survived.

I'm sailing around the world, currently in New Zealand after leaving the UK in 2013. I have tried many solar lights for anchoring or cockpit lighting but most died prematurely. When I flew back to the Uk in 2014 I bought two D-lights which have far surpassed anything else in terms of quality of light, battery performance and robustness. We hang one or two in the rigging at night when we're at anchor and use them to light the cockpit, in the morning three years on they still burn as brightly after 12 hours of darkness. On board our boat must be the toughest test anyone could put these lights through. They're out in all weather and just keep on working!These lights are fantastic, the best, unfortunately we lost one in a storm off Pitcairn in the South Pacific so I'm now buying two more and my son is bringing them out to the boat in April. Thank you for making such a great product.

I'd give it five stars but the difference in intensity between the soft and brighter light is difficult for me to tell. It charges up just fine in my windowsill and it's winter in the UK (not much light)! I have tried charging it with my mac and works just fine too. I'm quite impressed really however would be nice if the brighter light was more noticeably bright :)

this is a good light,iv gone from wind up lights then discovered soler powerd lights,iv had this for a while and I recommend it,hasnt let me down yet,...I use it as a nightlight,i think it lasts 6 or 7 hours,cant say exactly as im asleep wen it runs down but it gives of plenty of light and has 2 settings,it wont break easy,it arrived early and it isn't expensive....I love free electricity,this is a great nightlight, camping light and I recommend it.

So we were asked to bring these with us to Philippines after the super typhoon Haiyan. This was one of the items people needed there as most of the power has been lost (and a lot of villages don't have any electricity at all as they are on remote islands). When we arrived, we didn't have any power for a week, so we used these lanterns at night before donating them to the locals upon leaving. Great product - it has 2 light settings, and also can be hung or mounted. I would definitely recommend as an alternative to a standard battery powered torch as it recharges itself during the day. No expensive batteries needed.

Seemed okay, bit smaller than I thought it would be BUT it did not work. Returned for refund.

I would consider it again even though the big could be a bit bigger. It is bright enough during the dark night.

I bought this for my Dad and he loved it. It was one of his prized possessions until he passed in 2020
