We used to have to fill the water bowl constantly for our 3 large dogs, but since we purchased this the water lasts a lot longer and stays much cleaner. I was unsure about the design of the product at first but after using it for a little while it got easier to use.First of all, I was removing the whole top piece every time to re-fill it but then figured out all I had to do was pour about 2 pitchers into the top slowly and that was much easier.Additionally, I thought it would be helpful if there was some kind of light to alert you when the water level was low since you can't see how much is left without removing the top piece to check, until I realized there is a red indicator light under the faucet which I did not initially notice. The light could be brighter or placed somewhere else to make it easier to see, but when the water is low the faucet also stops so if you don't see the light you will see the faucet at least.My dogs seem to enjoy this water bowl as well. I was nervous they would be scared of the faucet constantly circulating the water but it is very quiet and they don't mind it. I like that the water stays clean because sometimes their old regular bowl would get dog slobber or dirt/hair in it. I feel like it is helping my dogs stay healthier.

We've got 2 dogs; a Rottie and a Lab and 2 cats. We had a 108oz one, but were filling it at least twice a day.Decided to order this when it went on sale. I like the 230oz! Easy to assemble, easy to clean! The blue v. red light is nice.However, I'm giving it only 4 stars because it doesn't use all the water... It'll stop pumping water with 1.5" or more still in the bottom. And that's because the pump attaches to the lid, not the bottom of the "bowl"

It doesn't hold 7L; if you fill it to the top, maybe it does hold 7L, but the max fill line is not at the top. Also the minimum fill line is not at the bottom and the unit turns off when the water level gets down to the min fill line. The amount of space from the bottom of the bowl to the max fill line is actually a little less than 5L; the actual usable space (from min fill line to max fill line) is even less than that. Other than that, I really like the fountain and so do my pets. The motor is absolutely silent; and I like the fact that it turns off instead of burning out when the water gets too low. It doesn't give much warning before it turns off, though. The blue & red lights are sometimes not very visible during daylight or if any room lights are on. I like how far it can be disassembled to be able to clean it all & get rid of moldy smells. The instructions for cleaning the unit are not complete. There's no mention about removing the fixture that holds the spout in place, and the first couple of times I cleaned the unit, I did not remove that fixture and it developed a moldy smell. Luckily, during the next cleaning it became a bit loose and I realized that it just screws on & off. Now, no more moldy smells. All the small parts can be soaked and cleaned well. I got this fountain because my 23-yr-old cat was making such a mess around the previous open water bowl sticking her paws in & splashing the water around in the bowl (and on the floor). I believe she was doing that to be able to see where the water line was. Now she seems to be able to see the ripples made where the water falls out of the spout. No more puddles on the floor & due to the filters no more dirty, hairy, furry water in the bowl. Big win all the way around.

So far so good! All the dogs drink out of it with ease and it is so much easier to refill / top up and clean than the plastic when I had before. I had a 2.5 gallon dispenser that I had to fill every 1 to 2 days.Completely silent. Large surface area actually spills less than previous bowls that I had tried.I can top it up easily daily and wash every 3 or 4 days. The water is always fresh and this way easier to clean and fill regularly. I have three large dogs. And a picky border collie. They all took to it right away. Looked at the spout for a minute and now they just drink normally. During the day the red light is very dim to show when the water is too low to pump. However with the spout you can see if it's not running right away and add water. Filters seem to work very well. Don't know how often to change the carbon filter yet with so many dogs. But it came with a few so very good purchase and good value compared to the plastic I have had for years. Wish I could put one outside!

Having researched purchasing a water fountain, I am very pleased with this product. Stainless steel was recommended rather than plastic. Easy to assemble. Purchased as my dog would only drink out of my pond, not out of the water bowl. This has changed that and he is happy to drink from the fountain. Not cheap, but hope will last.

My cat and dog loved it, it has everything you need. 3 filters, one installed, super quiet, with very good water capacity.

Perfectly fits and filters like the original, not noticed any difference or quality over the ones that came with the fountain, shame about the wait for restock
