Stunning monitor and value!
Given the price and reviews on Amazon and elsewhere, I decided to go for this as I needed a new monitor for freelance film FX work at 4k and above, as well as my own critical photo editing. Straight away - and out of the box - I was thrilled at the quality of the product and stunned by the image it produces! I won't bother with repeating all the available technical details, but will say that I have seen no evidence of flickering or any other issues and also add that, having worked in TV and film VFX for over 25 years, this is one of the best monitors I have came across and certainly the most enjoyable to use and work on. Highly recommended.

Superb value pro colour 4K monitor.
This is a stunning 4K monitor with excellent colour accuracy. 32" 4K is probably the best resolution to size ratio for a monitor, considering how close you sit to it, but not quite as huge a difference as I was expecting from a 24" 16:10 HD model. The resolution does definitely give it that something extra, particularly for professional imaging uses - I can now finally see 4K video in its glory. This monitor is superb for photo editing too.Very easy to use, the menus are pretty straight forward and although it is calibrated out of the box, I prefer to calibrate using a Colormunki, which works fine. The colour is as good as I need for professional use, and at maximum is far brighter than necessary, and easy to dial down to suit ambient lighting.I have noticed that occaisionally the screen briefly flickers (using Display Port). As other users have mentioned this I expect it is a design fault. It doesn't happen too often, and is extremely brief so doesn't distract me either so I'm not too bothered by this. Due to this though I am a bit concerned about its longevity after the 3 year warranty runs out, so I may have to factor in a replacement before then, hence 4 stars.Otherwise a stunning and excellent value pro-grade 4K monitor that so far perfectly serves my needs working with photos, video, home use and casual gaming.

Not 10bit or HDR!
Would have loved this to be 10bit and HDR as advertised, but it wasn't. Read online for any reason as to why it was only 8bit and SDR, got nothing. Contacted Acer and there was no reply. Four weeks later i contacted Amazon for tech support and was advised to return it for a refund. Didn't want to do that unless i had no choice, this was what tech support said i should do. Disappointed that i had to return it, but as it was for photography and not browsing or gaming, i could not keep it. Graphics card used were GTX980, then RTX2070.

A stunning monitor for the money
I could not see this monitor listed on the Acer website, so suspect it is a slightly older model. However I had been tracking it on camel camel for a while, and when the price came down to less than 50% RRP in the spring sale, I knew it was a good buy. Plus I had a bunch of Amazon vouchers to use towards it, so it cost even less.It is a substantial monitor and very heavy. Although its comes with lots of cables, I had to buy an extra USB-C to Display Port cable, so I could connect it to my 2018 Mac Mini at 4K resolution.Out of the box, the colours are truly brilliant. I have purchased this monitor exclusively for web design and graphics editing. The 10-bit colour, and 100% sRGB certainly show. I used my Spyder5 Pro and free DisplayCal software to calibrate it on the first day. The generated profile had very little colour difference, compared to the factory default settings. I did have to go into Firefox settings and change the colour configuration to use my new profile, otherwise the Firefox browser colours are very oversaturated and text goes blurry.32" certainly gives ample workspace. Window management on Mac OS is pretty terrible, so I am using the free 'Spectacles' app to automatically resize and snap windows into different parts of the screen with keyboard shortcuts. Being able to have a full size web browser window open and a code editor at the same time is a huge productivity booster. Some people have said 32" is too big, but I personally think it is the sweet spot for 4k. My 2018 Mac Mini has no problems whatsoever driving this monitor at 4k.The stand is very sturdy and allows the panel to be angled and rotated in various directions. No wobble. The screen settings are easy to navigate. The screen switches on and starts up very quickly. The extra 4 USB ports on this monitor are useful. Not only are they good for temporarily plugging in items like colorimeters and flash cards, but good for a web cam and other items. The only negative I can find with this monitor is that it lacks any cable management behind. So the power, USB and Display Port cables have a tendency to dangle and become visible below the monitor.I absolutely love this monitor.

Faulty product, Acer refuse to fix it under their "3 year" sham warranty
Along with other owners of this monitor, I am frustrated by the flickering problem. Let me explain this in more detail. The problem is intermittent, and the flicker happens anywhere between 1 and 30 times per day. It isn't really a flicker; the screen appears to turn off for a whole second then back on, sometimes longer, and sometimes there's a double flicker. More detail for the techies: USB devices do not disconnect during this time, and Windows does not resize elements as a result, so it appears like the second monitor is still seen by my laptop for the duration of this - it's just the display that goes off. Therefore yes the problem could be a lot worse. But it's still disruptive to work. The product is within its 3 year warranty, however Acer have refused to service their warranty. According to them, Amazon sent me a model that was destined / valid for the US market not the UK market, therefore I need to contact Amazon. I don't know whether this is true or not, whether Acer are playing a very underhand trick or whether Amazon have indeed flogged a US unit to me on the cheap without making me aware. Either way I won't be buying from Acer again as it's just not worth the hassle.
