St Paul's cathedral
Absolutely brilliant. Thoroughly enjoyed building it. First 3D model I've done but definitely not the last.

Instructions complicated but with some logic, decipherable
Definitely St Paul's Cathedral and sturdy. Some of the smaller push fastenings were a bit brittle but, as you can see, it worked.

Beautiful
A really nice and fairly intricate wooden model. The pieces are all inside wooden sheets that can be easily popped out by thumb. The instructions are okay, not the best but it's pretty straightforward although I would suggest children have an adult supervising. The quality of the wood is okay, it could be easily snapped without care but not at the slightest breeze. The colouring and inking is decent enough for the most part, smaller details like windows have the ink a bit thick for high details but once it's all together it looks nice (With that said, I haven't put it all together yet but enough to judge the final production)I would say the product pages photo's are very accurate as you can see the ink overlap on there. This is a great model to spark the imagination for younger kids or for nice relaxation with adults and a nice sense of accomplishment once done.At £19.99 I think it's really worth it, that's why this gets 5 stars as it's clearly a budget model and for that it's fantastic. What's more, there's currently a 50% voucher, so you're paying under a tenner for 237 pieces! No glue is included and it states it's not needed. Personally, I'd like to use some for a more sturdy and permanent finish but the choice is yours. At this price it makes a fantastic learning experience and gets them away from the phone. Absolutely recommend it.

Made incorrectly
The media could not be loaded. Soon after starting the build part B2 would not fit A2 ...vthe tounge and groove were not aligned ... couldn't carry on ... hopeless

Looks great but a bit fiddly to build.
I'm mixed on this. It gives a great sense of accomplishment after finishing it, but the journey there is frustrating at times. The pieces are on pre-cut sheets and pop out with a slight push in the right places. The instructions are fairly straightforward but you can easily get lost in them. The most frustrating part is fitting pieces together. Sometimes they go in perfectly and other times I find myself forcing it in and taking 5 minutes on a single piece, trying to fit it. I had to sand down a few sections in the end instead of trying to wiggle it through for ages. The completed product looks good. I've been to the cathedral several times and I'd say they have done a good job of getting the shape right. I'd say this could be very fiddly for children and may need an adult to ensure the pieces are fitting properly as some corners can snap off if not being careful.

With numbered pieces, adults and children can build this together...
I got this Kholez 3D puzzle of St Paul's Cathedral for my partner who likes tinkering around with pre-cut wooden models. But I actually like the look of the finished article myself as it appears in the listing because it resembles an architectural drawing made three dimensional - and it's good value for money. My partner tells me it's challenging - but not too difficult. It's nothing like scratch building St Paul's out of matchsticks. The 237 plywood pieces are numbered and the puzzle comes with instructions. Mostly what's required is patience. This kit could be nice to have around at Christmas time when visitors could have a go. It's suitable for ages 8+ and would be perfect as a project for adults and children to co-operate on.As the pics show, this is a fair size when completed at 28cm/11" tall, 38cm/14.9" wide and 20cm/7.8" deep. As they also show, it can be lit up. No lighting is supplied but strings of wired battery operated micro-lights are very readily available and inexpensive. So if you do get this for some festive fun, you may want to think about getting a light strand as, once made, it could be transformed into a spectacular decoration that's a real talking point.

Impressive but frustrating!
I have mixed feelings about this puzzle. I’m just over halfway through and the completed bit is undeniably impressive. However, getting to this stage has been a journey! The pieces are clearly labelled and I appreciate that there are not too many steps so it is much less intimidating to get started than what I feared. However, I did run into all of the expected issues (plus a couple of new ones) in the course of the build. The first hurdle was in the very first step, where the diagram is incorrect. This is clear if you jump ahead to step 2, which shows the pieces in their correct places. However, I did run into other bits where either the diagram is incorrect or simply unclear. I’ve also had an issue with the tabs used to hold the pieces together - smaller ones easily chip and splinter or break off entirely, so it would have been nice had the kit included a small tube of glue. But the biggest and ongoing issue is that the pieces fit together so tightly that placing every piece is a bit of a battle. This is less of an issue in early stages, but as the model develops you have a fine balance to slot pieces in whilst not breaking or undoing previous steps. I can’t imagine the frustration of building this with a child, it was all I could do as a middle-aged woman to keep from tearing my hair out. It appears the end result will be worth it, but the current price of £19.99 should perhaps come with a warning!
