Well I got this as it had coax digital out.Well I put it against my £600 cd transport.And I tell you I can’t tell any difference at all which is amazing for this little cheap player.Not only that I can watch music dvds and potential to them through my quad. Great buy for that use.It’s quite quick as well which surprised my.Don’t be fooled by digital players they are all similar and pretty much the same sound.

Good enough for the price I paid

Well the one this replaced was just over a year old when it died. So this time it was a case of keeping the price down as paying more doesn't necessarily mean better product. To be honest this one does seem to be better as the DVD tray runs smoother. This one also has more menu items that you can adjust. The instructions seem to be for more than just this model as the set clock button does not do anything and there seems to be no clock on the display. I use this with a spare PC monitor that has no speakers so the separate audio out allows me to use a soundbar and the hdmi connection for the video. How long it will last is yet to be seen but as it's 40% cheaper than the last one it has to be better. Overall it does seem to have some quality to it. So if like me you still like the physical DVD disc over the digital alternative (streaming) then for the money you could do worse.

I looked at several DVD players and this appeared to be the best (despite its odd name!). I find it to be very good - bright steady images and silent operation. The only drawback is that the buttons on the remote control are quite tiny and the titles to them almost too small to read. But it works well and after a while I got to know which button did what, so no real problem.This is what I said a week ago. Now my opinion has changed completely!It has just stopped working - dead as a dodo. No response to any of the buttons on the player, no response to the remote control. So I am sending it back for full refund.Very disappointed, but appreciative of Amazon money-back guarantee.

Nice picture would get again

With a large collection of DVDs and the latest hi-tech TV, I searched for an external DVD player that could successfully be linked to the TV with a USB connector. LONPOO comes with a range of connectors and is a total value for money success.

This was great for some DVDs unfortunately it stops playing at about 45 mins thereafter the program judders and is unwatchable.
