The silver color looks nice and has good contrast on the fingerboard. Very useful for learning and practicing finger positions. You get a lot (48) in the pack, so you'll have plenty of tape for one or both positions, and to replace any that might start to fail.I haven't had them installed long enough to really comment on the long-term durability or if they leave a residue, but the quality seems high enough that I'm not concerned.

I haven’t pulled my cello out in a while when I got these. I finally pulled it out and scraped off the cut-up pieces of regular stickers I had been using as finger markers. These tapes are much preferable- one, they are designed to go across the entire board, and second, they don’t leave nasty residue on your fingerboard when you pull them off. They are tricky to get on (which is why I know they are easy to get off and don’t leave residue). To successfully get these attached I had to slide them up the fingerboard under the strings. I don’t play very often and really appreciate the target of where notes are. If you are starting out, I would highly recommend these, and also that you put them on while using a tuning app.

Placed on my cello students instrument. Within two weeks of that, two of the three we put on were peeled off. The last one is peeling up now. Wouldn’t buy again.

I used this tape on my cello. I like that it’s thin and also easy to apply. You will have to use multiple strips because it will peel and curl up on the edges from playing and sliding the curve of your hand and thumb on the neck. They send you plenty of strips and you will use them.
