The pendulum that comes with the book is decent, though it is on a thread which tends to slide from the center, so you may want to check out other pendulums later on.The book contains illustrations which demonstrate how to hold a pendulum, establish basic communication signals between your subconscious and the pendulum and it guides you through a step by step recommended questioning process beginning by stating what you would like to accomplish and then asking "Can I?", "May I?", "Am I ready?", and upon getting the answer confirming that the answer you got is true.The book contains several exercises and charts (Yes/No/Maybe chart, 0-100% chart, world map, fun astrology charts, and weather chart). Few other dowsing applications are mentioned.At the end of the book is a brief overview of using other dowsing tools - L-rod, Y-rod, bobber, as well as dowsing without any devices. You are bound to have some fun with this set and perhaps you decide to continue your learning.

It is what it says... a little wordy and old school ...you need time to focus on and digest... in this fast paced world something a little more how-to would be better but for real enthusiasts who want to take the time its a good package.

Book is good...charts are very less...little complicated...charts should be coloured.

I have tryed other Divination tools, and decited to give this a try too. This book is well writting for beginners, and I liked the fact that it comes with a Brass Pendulum. I have read that stones and crystal ones can collect energy and store it inside them, but Brass seems to be better at Not doing so.Sig takes the time and explains what Dowsing is, then walks you through step by step as you advance. Its very easy to read, and well put together. There are many different chats you can pratice with to hone your ability.Chapter 2 So I picked up the pendulum and held it as intructed, and stated asking for the 4 starting movements. This must be the Tool for me, because the pendulum responded very quickly to all 4 movements, Starting point, Yes, No, Maybe. I got a little shakened because I was able to manipulate it on Q.... And I swear i didnt move my hand hhaha... I asked for the starting point, wow there it was, asked for Yes, wow there it was, go faster i said, it moved crazy fast, then i asked Stop, and wow it stopped.. This went on for a while, then i was getting afraid that i wouldnt be able to get a Right answer for the pendulum if I am the one manipulating it. So i put it down and read some more, sure enough Sig had answered my concern.. He said, Think like a kid, ex. Wow, I wonder what the answer can be? and get excited about it...hahha Simple! (if all else fails, read the manual ) ;o)Another time, with not that much pratice, I used the pendulum to help me find a hole in a air matteress, that i could Not find with soup and water. And sure enough one of Sig's lessons proved right, the pendulum lead me to the right area where it was. So got the soup and water, sprayed the area Again and There it was, I didnt see it the first 2 times I sprayed hahaha WoohooAnyway, I truely enjoy this book. The book is very easy to understand and read. Have good charts! And the pendulum is good have a nice balance and weight!
