The Usborne Introduction to The Second World War: Internet-linked (Introductions)

I bought this for my son to give him a starting point as we're studying the two world wars. We initially found the book in the library but as a reference book, we weren't allowed to borrow it. After buying the book second hand via Amazon I was extremely pleased with the quality, especially at the price, the book looked ad good as new! Coming from a third party seller it also arrived well packed and in good time. Very pleased!

Unsurprisingly, the young know nothing of WW2. My granddaughter thought I must have served in WW2, because I had spent a few years as an Army officer in my younger days. I think there was rather a lot to take in for a ten year-old, but this book helped.

Bought this for my 11 year old for Christmas as he was engrossed in all things WW2.. from reading about it, playing games, role playing, making his own games etc.He loves it, although his interest at the moment isn't as intense, he does go back to the book periodically.He also has the WW1 book as well and loves both.

I have purchased both First and Second World War Usborne books. As expected from this publisher the books are very clear and cover a lot of ground with fantastic photographs and illustrations. We use them as part of our home educating for my two grandsons, but they would be a useful addition to anyone's bookshelf. As an adult have found out a few interesting facts from these books that I was unaware of previously

Bought for my nephew who is doing world war 2 at school - he loved it, almost couldn't put it down! His mum says she needs to brush up on it too so will read it herself. This is a book that is well laid out into bite sized chunks. He will not have to read everything for it to make sense, but will be able to grow into the book as he gets older.

A fabulous detailed book. Packed with information. Bought it for my 8 year old but it may be a little advanced for her - she can still get a lot from the book but I reckon it is aimed at a slightly older child with a more mature attention span.
