A much better option than traditional inversion machines
Pros:• Easy assembly• Strong / well thought out construction, good/comfortable materials• Easier to use than anklestrap full inversion tables so you'll use it more often• Handlebars in good places to get targeted relief and also dismount easier• May help where other inversion tables have not• Firm floor-grips• Core exercises possible with caution• 6'1" 190lb guy approved floor/head clearance with proper height settings• Doesn't have that "cheap equipment" visual aura thay plauges some devices like thisCons:• Will take up more dedicated space, big n heavy and not so mobile.• May be more difficult for shortstacks to mount/dismount as you need to lift your leg over a bar to engage.• Seat-Wobble-stabilization system specifically could use a little work in making the user feel more confident that things are set up correctlyThis is still very much a 5 star machine. The inversion is much nicer with the gravity applied this way than traditional inversion machines, allowing you to stay inverted longer. If you're on the fence go for it.

Saves my back everyday!
I am 37 years old with a degenerating L5. I had been doing fine for years with chiropractic care, good posture and all that stuff. Unfortunately, this winter it flared up to the point I was going back to the chiropractor every other week to get it calmed down. At one of my last adjustments, my doctor recommended I look into one of these as a way to relieve some of the stress that was causing my issues. Since the Teeter Dex II arrived, I have not been back to the chiropractor (2 months and counting). It takes me a total of 5 minutes in the morning and 5 in the evening to keep me feeling like I have zero (0) back problems. Seriously, unreal!I hang for three 1 minute 15 second intervals over those five minutes and am fully relieved for the rest of the day and a good night's rest. The stress relief is amazing, and from time to time, I actually hear and feel my vertebrae pop back into their correct position (an AWESOME feeling).Easing into and out of the hanging position is pretty easy but somewhat relies on a "leap of faith" part of the way down. I am physically fit, so I'm not sure how easy it would be if you're not.Machine's quality is great. The pads are made of a softer (but firm) rubber-type material, which is nice because they won't wear out like a leather padding would. I have no concerns that this machine will wear out in the next 50 years.

Well built but a bit painful on the stomach. Inversion beni’s are great though.
I am 6’2 female and I’ll be kind and say that I am ‘Statuesque’ in my figure...Lol. Ok, fine! I have a bit of a pooch belly, but I am working on it. Once I figured out how to adjust it to my height, per the instructions, it was easier to get into an inverted position, but trying to get back up to a standing position is a bit painful on the belly. It PINCHES. HARD. The thigh cushions are comfortable enough but your own body weight presses hard at that juncture when you are moving to stand back up. If you are a bit on the hefty side, like me, this HURTS. So I removed one star for that. However, the rest of the Dex II’s functions work like a charm, working exactly as I expected. Not gonna lie, if you are not in shape, using this thing for back bends is going to be difficult (mostly impossible) for you and it isn’t much of a trainer in that regard. You have to be in good physical shape. But I actually didn’t buy this for that. I have a separate bench that I use for those. I bought this mainly for the inversion benefit. I cannot use a inversion table due to an ankle and knee injury so bought this as an alternative. This thing is very sturdily built. I have no concern that I am going to fall off the thing while using it. I was also relieved that, unlike some other exercise equipment that I’ve bought in the past, this really CAN accommodate a tall giant like myself instead of saying it can but having the end result be...not really. It’s great for stretching my back, and I think that the lower handle bars are going to be very useful for push ups, dips, but especially for leg raise, arches, reverse crunches, flutter kicks, etc. I like having something to hold onto vs leaving my arms by my side for those. So I suppose it all comes down to what you want to buy this for. Do I regret buying it, no. But that pain in the belly is going to give me a hard time I think. A flaw in the design. I may try a moving this closer to a wall so when I try moving back to a stand, I can walk my hands up the wall or something to help relieve the pressure? Just a thought.

Easy to assemble
Easy to assemble, well built, and most important, it WORKS!! I have had owned and used several decompression devises to help with chronic spine issues due to accidents. The Teeter Hang Ups is by far the most comfortable one that I’ve used as an inversion method but offers a BIG bonus as it can be used as a strengthening machine as well. I have loved this. I’m now getting the relief I want and need as well as strengthening my back, abs, and arms. I give two thumbs way up!!

Great for your back health
I have had a Teeter Dex II for 12 years. I purchased a second one because I am working out of town during the week and need to be able to decompress every day. I hang upside down for at least 10 minutes every day and attribute my healthy spine to hanging upside down, in addition to core exercises. I've tried the inversion table types and hanging from my ankles causes too much discomfort in my ankles.I recommend this to all people with back challenges that I cross paths with, but also share that they should get their doctor's opinion specific to any other health challenges they may be facing, such as high blood pressure. You can also use it to do back extensions, which is one of my core exercises.
