Pens aren’t very bright
The Perspex boards are good quality but the pens aren’t great, the black and blue colours show up but the other colours are very faint and washed out, not like the ones on the photos atall. Ok if you’re happy with black and blue.

Magnets not strong
Lovely product but slides down my fridge freezer as magnets not strong enough to hold it up and the pens don’t show through on black appliances so had to by a chalk pen

Nice, but clarity depends on lighting and the colour of your fridge
This is a good magnetic monthly and weekly calendar reminder whiteboard for your fridge (or other magnetic metallic surface). There is a month view and a week view, so you can add both unique and weekly events as you need. The calendar magnets are strong, as are the pen & eraser holder magnets too.The acrylic is completely transparent, and so will adopt the colour of your fridge. The ruled lines & letters are printed on the back in permanent white ink. There are advantages of your fridge being lighter grey or completely white...If your fridge is dark, then the ruled lines & letters will stand out well, but darker pen ink won't show up well.If your fridge is white, then the ruled lines / letters won't stand out well, but darker pen ink will show up well. This is preferred !!On grey / metallic fridges, you have to choose your ink pens carefully, as some show up reasonably well, and others not so well.It is very much the case that if your fridge area is well lit, then you will see the writing clearly. If your fridge is in shadows, and without good lighting, then the writing will be dull and difficult to read.My issues with this...I just don't find that most of the pen inks show up well, with good clarity, on my shady grey metallic fridge.I tried out the calendars on a white surface, and due to the lighting, all writing had a shadow under it which was distracting. My fridge is unfortunately not well lit in the kitchen, and there would be no easy way of altering this. The solution - which would make this a better design - is if the backing was 'all white' with black ruled lines and letters. In summary, a good idea let down by issues of colour and contrast. It will work well for some, but won't work so well for me.

Good set including all you'll need
I've been wanting a planner for quite a while as I'm trying to become more organised with meal preparation and I feel that planning meals a week in advance will lead to less wasted food. When I saw this set it seemed to be just what I needed, plus it included a lot of extras on top.The things I liked most about the set are the fact that it includes a choice of pen colours, a sponge pad to wipe it clean and a seperate calendar and a planner. The planner and calendar are both a good size so you aren't squeezing writing into a tiny space, which isnt easy with marker pens. They both have very good magnets, so there is no risk of them accidentally getting knocked off. I can take them off easily to wipe clean and fill in the next weeks details, which would be much harder if they had to stay fixed. They are also very importantly flexible enough to fit easily onto my slightly curved fridge door as the magnets ensure they just bend to fit.The things I think could have been improved aren't a major issue to me really, but I feel I should mention them. The sponge wiper pad has a poor magnet, so it's fallen or been knocked off enough times for us to give up and place it on top of the fridge. Some of the pen colours are much better at being seen than others, some are barely readable when used leading to me mostly using the dark blue and black. Neither of these issues is a major fault in my opinion though, pens are really consumables anyway, so would need replacing eventually. Overall I'm very happy with the set and although there are a couple of issues they aren't deal breakers and it's still very much worth the price, which was £24.99 at the time I ordered it.

Great boards - just wish the pens were better!
I've been looking for a way to be better organsied with family life and this set is hopefully going to help me with this. The set comprises of two magnetic, acrylic boards (one with a monthly calendar, one with a weekly planner), a magnetic sponge eraser, a plastic holder and a set of wipeable pens (also all magnetic). The boards themselves are super quality, very well made and with strong magnets to attach them to your fridge. They're acutally bigger than I imagined but we have an American style fridge-freezer so there's enough space to accomodate these. They look nice once they're in place and they've already become a good addition to the organisation of the house (not to mention the children love adding little details to these). If they had provided a better set of pens to go with this set, I'd have given 5 stars. As it is, I had to decide between 3 or 4 stars due to the absolutely terrible quality of the pens they provide with the set. It's only the fact that I'm loving using the boards so much that has swung it up to 4, because the pens really are dire! If you're happy with just a black or blue to use out of the full set, then you'll probably be fine, but for most of the other colours they barely show up to be able to read so they're next to useless. What a waste of potential for what could have been a brilliant set when they have cheaped on the quality of the pens they're putting in - almost like an afterthought.

Boards great, pens not so much (for us)
The boards are great and the monthly planner will be ideal for summer holidays. Unfortunately, probably because of the colour of our fridge, the pens aren’t very good and you can’t see them particularly well apart from the black and red ones. If you have a lighter coloured fridge the pens would show up much more, but perhaps the white writing wouldn’t be as visible. Or perhaps if the plastic was a little bit “frosted” the contrast would have been better. The erasers work well though, and remove the pen easily without trace. The boards stick well to the fridge and will keep us organised for sure! Shame the pens let the product down for us. Might try some alternative pens when these run out.
