Updated; Support came through and I look forward to continuing to support Alta Labs
UPDATE - Support Recovered — and So Has My ConfidenceWhat began as a frustrating experience with the AP6 Pro has ultimately turned into a much more positive one — thanks in large part to direct involvement from Alta Labs CEO Chase Harrison, who ensured my case was resolved properly when others failed to act.Initially, my AP6 Pro died unexpectedly after a power event involving a POE port on a Route10 router. The performance leading up to that point had been excellent: fast Wi-Fi 6 speeds, a sleek and professional design, and promising integration with the Alta Labs ecosystem.Unfortunately, early support attempts went unanswered or were limited to a generic power cycle suggestion — leaving me disappointed and concerned about long-term reliability and post-sale support. That has since changed. Multiple representatives from Alta Labs and their parent company, Soundvision Technologies, stepped in to not only resolve my issue but also follow through with comprehensive communication and testing. It’s clear that Alta Labs is making a concerted effort to build a better support infrastructure — and they followed through. The AP6 Pro remains a compelling product, and I’m glad to say that Alta Labs is now living up to the potential of their hardware with a customer support experience to match.Original Review:The AP6 Pro had all the makings of a great access point. Wi-Fi 6 performance was strong, the form factor is sleek, and it being within Alta Labs' ecosystem seemed promising. Unfortunately, all that promise ended with a sudden and unceremonious death - courtesy of a POE port on an Alta Labs Route10 that decided to kill the port during a storm. What’s worse than hardware failure? Being completely ignored afterward.Despite reaching out to Alta Labs support multiple times, there has been little effort to resolve the issue. No troubleshooting beyond a generic power reset, no replacement discussion, and absolutely no accountability. “Matt” from support has all but vanished. There’s no dedicated end-user support, and no help outside of narrow business hours — a serious flaw for any networking gear, especially one positioned as reliable and pro-grade.The AP6 Pro might be solid while it works, but be warned: once it's down, it's staying down — and you’ll be lucky if anyone at Alta Labs even acknowledges your ticket.

Vary Impressive
I have 10GB bandwidth throughout my networks and I added the Route10, Controller and a AP6 Pro wireless device. The bandwidth through the network with the Route10 firewall is excellent and extremely stable. I added the WiFi AP6 Pro via POE port into the Route10 and get performance that is 900MB/s+ up/down. That is incredible for most WiFi 6 systems and even WiFi 7 which I do have. I plan on buying another AP6 Pro Outdoor to utilize in a mesh configuration. If you have the Router, this would be a great and inexpensive addition for any network. I have three networks for ring camera's, internal network and miscellaneous guest and other access. All this is run through a 6U rack system.

Awful Range.
The range on this is just awful. If you are in the same room, it works well. Once beyond 20-25 feet, your bandwidth drops by ~90%. For exact numbers; in the same room, I was averaging 750 down and 800 up. 20 feet away, I was at 25 down, and 20 up.

Replaced Aruba InstantOn totally worth it!
Easy setup, replaced my Aruba instant on AP’s, no glitches or issues, most errors are derived from me. I have found taking it slow during implementation and doing research before hand alleviates a majority of the pains that people are talking about. I’m getting more coverage than my Aruba AP’s at higher WIFI throughout as well (400-500 MB to consistent 700-1GB speeds) I definitely recommend this!

A lot of potential but I would wait to buy
Alta Labs is moving at a fast pace and heading in the right direction, but this product is still very unstable. A recent firmware upgrade knocked many Apple services like AirPrint and Apple Home offline for weeks. A fix was recently pushed but hasn’t addressed everything. It seems like the AP must be doing some traffic inspection and blocking that isn’t exposed to the user. There should be a dumb mode where it just functions as an AP.Their documentation is also somewhat lacking, and while their engineers are active on their forum, it seems like they’re really only responsive to serial posters.I think this product will be 5 stars someday, but if you need a reliable network, I’d hold off for now.Edit: Updating from 2 to 4 stars. The most recent firmware upgraded resolved all Apple related issues.
