Odd Squad: The Movie

Loved how simultaneously educational and entertaining the movie is! My kids watched the movie over and over again. Great 3 day purchase for the price.

The acting, the plot, the entire premise of this show is perfect for our five-year-old, who dressed like Oscar for his fifth birthday party. Just today he said to me, "Mommy, guess where I learned how to estimate?" (Pause, then...) "Odd Squad!" He loves the little hidden jokes as well as the overt ones, and learns so much while having a ball. I love this show as an adult! And I have been known to watch this movie when our son wasn't even in the room. My favorite parts are the ragtime piano dancing, the coffee for the adults (hilarious and true), and, of course, the space-level mission accomplished! Now we just need a new Soundcheck CD to come out on iTunes and we will be all set! Thanks for making this amazing movie and show for our little one to enjoy.

This was a great movie for my 5- and 9-year-old, plus the adults enjoyed it too. The series has always been above the quality of most television shows, regardless of target age. More thought is given the lines, story, and structure than what is usually encountered. The Odd Squad productions, in my view, include clever language, problem solving, and novel humor. It is evident that the people involved in the series (and this movie) have worked on a higher standard than is the contemporary norm. Compare this to the video manufacture of networks built on past reputations that now only depict eye-rolling sarcasm as the fullest realization of wit. The characters' successes in this series stem from their acting on their best decisions while working across their weaknesses and missteps.

Me (39) and my son (7) both love Odd Squad! Funny, quirky, educational, adorable. Super entertaining. Cannot love this show or movie enough :)

The movie itself was terrific. Totally Odd Squad. The change of main characters is sad because the original actors were so much better but my son was prepared for that from the last episode of the previous season. The humor was great for kids and had a couple of jokes adults can enjoy. Of course it's not going to keep an adult entertained all the way through, because its not meant for adults. This show is just super cute. The ONLY reason I'm not giving it five stars is because the audio for the music was incredibly low throughout the whole movie.

We preordered this movie, and we were so excited when it arrived. Wonderful odd squad show, true to its roots and funny. My kids have watched it several times and enjoyed it. Kids are 9, 6 and 3. I liked it too, and parts of it made me chuckle. Great series, great value. I truly hope they make more, it's not often I can find a show that isn't so boy/girl stereotypical, and everyone likes it. I love that the boys and girls work together, and that it reinforces positive cooperation, and that smart is fun. 65 min. Thanks PBS!!!!

I've made no secret of my love of Odd Squad and my joy that there's something that's genuinely entertaining for both me and my son to watch without all the cleansing, yet exhausting tears of a Pixar movie.It's great, and now I know how to estimate the jelly beans in a jar.As far as the movie goes, it's awesome and hilarious. Enjoy.My only drawback is that the music is jarringly quiet in my version. I use the Amazon app on an XBox 360. You can barely hear it. Heads-up there, Amazon. Not Odd Squad's fault, though.
