Easy to use and reuse
These are good quality basic inoculating loops. I'm a lab science student and have been using these to practice streaking agar plates, and I get good results with them. They're a pretty good value since you get multiple of them and they are reusable and can be sterilized with flame or an incinerator. I wouldn't expect them to hold up forever and the metal ends can bend if you're rough with them, but for student use they are very good.

Very Affordable for the Amateur Scientists Out There
Points: +Large variety of loop sizes +Affordable value +Doesn’t get hot when flame sterilizing Summary: I use the PakCan inoculation loops for amateur microbiology/mycology. So far I’ve used these to spread oyster spores on MEA petri dishes and they’ve worked great. I’ve used a variety of inoculating loops over the years in my career but wanted some to continue the hobby at home too. Unlike my work, I didn’t want to use pre-sterilized disposable loops. Something reusable was the way to go. A quick pass through the flame till red hot and you’re ready once it’s cooled off. If you’re unfamiliar with these, be sure to allow the hot loop to sit for about 10-20 sec before tapping on the agar to check if it’s cool enough to spread your liquid culture. Compared to single use disposable loops these are a great value. Compared to other reusable loops these are a great value. I highly recommend it for the amateur scientists out there. Description: The set comes with 4 variably sized inoculation loops and 1 inoculating blunt tip needle. The handles are color coded to help tell them apart. Each piece measures about 255 mm long, has 4.6 mm thick handles, and weighs 12.5 g each.

Good
They work great, but they're 3 times as long as necessary.
