Not 40%
The soap is good but it is not 40% . Which is totally not cool. Their own pictures show soaps with specific markings which indicate amount of Laurel oil in it. This one is 25%. I wrote to Amazon. They sent replacement, exactly the same. Label says it is 40% so it is 40%. I have also contacted a seller and never got any response. So it is either misslabeld or done on purpose. I like Aleppo soaps but I rather pay for what I have ordered.

Expensive and offensive
I really wanted to love this product. Given it's history, how it's made and the story behind it. I loved the idea of it. Sadly, the product itself does not deliver. The odor is really hard to get past to begin with. I thought perhaps it would grow on me. It didn't. The lather feels nice but I just cannot stand the odor it leaves behind. It's super expensive for what you get and it's certainly not lasting as long as it claimed it would. I didn't see any noticeable different in my skin after using it. I won't buy again.

Great product for folks like me with patchy skin spots. I’ve never used a soap so good for this issue. It is pricy.

Wanted to love it but didn’t.
I really gave this a good try but didn’t like the smell. It was also sticky and hard to rinse off.

VERY overpriced and oversold, despite high quality
Pretty tiny bar for seven teen bucks! Which would be ok if the "cleans entire family for 4 months" claim was even remotely true. But lasted me and only me a mere month! If "family" equals 2 to 4 people then should last 1 person 8-16 months! Maybe if you wash once a week...

I love this soap because it cleans well and leaves no residue, plus it's pure and long-lasting , the best soap we have ever used. It lasts a long time and does not dry out your skin. Leaves a fresh
