No longer get any Rodent Presents where I placed these.
Where I placed them, I no longer see Rodent presents. I actually have 4 of these. One for my truck in the barn(Rats nested in the cabin filter) one in the garage near our deer corn and bird seed. Would always see Presents there. No longer. And two in my Corolla. One near the cabin filter and one in the trunk. Those little buggers nested in the cabin filter, left me presents in the car, and if any seed spills in the trunk, I'd get a wonderful surprise. So for months now, not seen any presents. I'm waiting to check on the cabin filters, but those are behind the glove compartment so hoping the audio reach there. All I use usb power plugged in. What I like about these is a mechanical on/off switch. So if you loose power, these come back on with power. My others didn't and we get a lot of glitches out here. I like these are humane and don't injure the present givers.

So far so good
I've had several occurrences of squirrels chewing through my vehicles' electrical harnesses (yes....PLURAL). I've tried rodent-repellent sprays, repellent electrical tape, live traps....you name it. This device seems to be having some luck in deterring the miserable little critters. It required a different connector to fit on to my truck battery, but after a quick trip to the hardware store, the device was relatively easy to install. My son says he can hear it when he walks by it. I can't. Older ears will be oblivious to the high-pitched signal. The device only engages when the vehicle is not running....or so it says. I can't confirm or deny this. There's also a blinking light that it has which is not noticeable until you lift the hood of the vehicle. I imagine it's pretty irritating to the little furry monsters.

Tired of pack rats!
UPDATE: Had this on my car for 8 months. Noticed my check engine light was on again, for slick roads. I found a big nest on top of the engine and tons of acorns stocked up. Then, found that the rat had chewed the wires to the rat repeller. The same thing happened to my husband's truck last week. These rats are expensive! After 2 trips to a shop in 2 weeks for my car having pack rat nest under the manifold, chewing sensors wires, I was fed up. I ordered these after the 1st time. My husband had the same problem last Nov. I was really surprised about the 2nd event. The auto tech said that the repeller fuse was not working and he replaced it. So, far its working on my husband's truck. But, failed me the 2nd time when I received a defected product. So, if you buy this, make sure to check on it still working. I just didn't want to use any poisons because we have 3 dogs.

Third time buying but good product
This is the third time buying them. They work extremely well for car engines. When I placed mine in the car engines the activity stopped. It has 4 AA batteries so they last a while. Just check on them 1-2 months into the winter. My only issue is that they do not have gaskets in them so if water gets on them then it will corrode and damage the electronics. For the low price I cannot really complain but if they addressed some of the issues it would be rated better.

Dogs hear it, operates when car in motion.
Advertised as not harmful to pets but my dog could hear it end was very disturbed by the sounds. Also the unit did not appear to shut off when the car was in motion, another advertised feature that did not appear to function. I returned it.

Easy to install, poor quality zip ties
The product was easy to attach to battery terminals. It is audible. I live in the country and these ultrasonic repellant systems were recommended by neighbors. The zip ties designed to affix the unit, broke when I was attaching it inside my car engine compartment. It'd be nice if they were of a better quality.

It works.
I tried many different ways to keep squirrels from building nests and chewing wires. This one is working. Don't know about battery life yet.

May not deter a pack rat.
Not sure I'm a believer. While they functionally do what they're supposed to, I have two mounted under the hood of my F150, both connected to the battery for power. I parked it at my deer camp about 4pm, popped the hood open about a foot, and by the next morning at 8am, a pack rat had started a nest within about 8 inches of one of the devices. Fortunately I had also zip tied a couple of sticks of One Bite under the hood and it looked like one had been nibbled on. I'll continue to use them since they're already there but I have my doubts about their effectiveness.

El equipo es fácil de instalar y funciona muy bien para animales pequeños. Para animales más grandes no es tan efectivo en algunas especies.
