15 Minute Sand Timer, Hour Glass with Sand, Vintage Metal Hourglass Timer for Home, Office, Desk Decor, Unique Sand Clock Gifts (Apricot)

I got this timer to use as a writing motivator. My goal is to write for "just" 15 minutes a day, but since I don't hear the sand finish drifting through the hourglass, I keep writing. I've made a lot of progress on my novel since I got the timer.

Cute! My daughter really enjoys having hers on her desk and it works! Makes a great gift for the person who likes old fashion stuff and books.

This is a 15-minute sand hourglass with a simple, elegant design. It's sturdy, with a metal frame, real glass, and sand. It has a substantial feel to it. If you grip the metal frame and squeeze, there isn't any give to it. The manufacturer didn't cheap out on the construction.It is very close to accurate, give or take 10 seconds. I initially ordered this as a decoration, but I've found reasons to use it several times now, from timing myself for breaks or when to check the stove.In this day and age, we have a lot of ways to keep track of time - timers on our phones or using Alexa and whatnot - but there is something to be said for using something low-tech like an hourglass. It's just more relaxing. Anyway, this is a well-made product and it's an easy 5 stars from me.

The metal was bent/crooked but I already gave it as a Christmas gift. I had only taken a quick glance when it arrived to make sure the glass wasn't broken but didn't see that it was completely bent out of shape until I saw it on my dad's table. He said it came out of the box like that but was afraid to try and bend it back and risk breaking the glass.

Was I tempted to act out my Wicked Witch of the West dreams with this little hourglass and give Dorothy 15 minutes? YES lol I love it! It' got a beautiful antique vibe and isn't too big either. And works like it should!

I ordered this sand timer in the 'Apricot' color more for it's decorative appeal than something I'll probably use as a timer. It was shipped quickly, came securely-packaged to prevent damage, and looks even better than depicted online. I'm not sure why they call the sand color 'Apricot' as it just looks like a natural sand color, which is perfect. I'm using it on my mantle with and the height/color combination feels like a great accent piece. It would also make a great gift for just about anyone in your life because of it's uniqueness. I feel the quality warrants the $26 price tag and looks like it could cost even more.
