It makes a clicky noise from the top, is this normal?

Yes. As this is a dry snorkel model, the sound may be the top valve shutting and opening when in and out of the water.

Does it come with a bag??

Is it appropriate for pool swimming? Where would I get a strap to hold it on?

I have this snorkel and it is great for both pool swimming and open water snorkeling. The snorkel is made to attach to the strap of a dive mask or goggles. I don't know how you would secure it without using it in conjunction with a mask/goggles. However, it is a great snorkel and I would highly recommend it!
