Amp reading only works measuring a single wire, not a 2 wires in a 2 or 3 wire cable.
Overall it looks like a well made product. But could not get the non contact voltage feature to measure voltage at 120V AC & 220V electrical outlets, only by sticking probes in the outlet. Will not measure amps on a 120V hot-neutral-ground cable or a 220V phase to phase + green safety ground wire cable where you can't separate the hot-neutral or phase-phase wires enclosed in jacketed cable or conduit. Only gives false readings <1 amp with the 6A range & zero amps in 60A & 600A range on a circuit like a 1.5 HP pool motor that is obviously drawing way more than 1 amp. It defeats the whole reason for buying the product in the first place. Luckily it was paid for using Discover card cash back points, so I'm only out $1.46 and it will be useful as a probe multimeter for AC & DC circuits.

Excellent value for a very reasonable price.
This multimeter should make a good addition to any home repairer's toolbox.All of the features performed as expected although I had no diodes to test that specific feature against.The instructions that came with the device were printed quite small and were difficult to read. I was trying to find some explanation of the "SEL" button on the meter as my prior meter did not include that feature. The description in the instructions on that feature was less than helpful. Ultimately it seems to only apply if you've selected the resistance/diode setting and is used to toggle between a resistance measurement or a diode check.Do keep in mind that when testing current flow with the clamp that you will only get a reading if you clamp around just one of the wires in a two wire pair.No troubles using the device single handed (in my right hand). Thumb wheel turned fine to pick my selection and when taking a current reading where I wasn't in a position to clearly see the LCD, it was simple enough to hit the Hold button with my thumb to lock in the reading.The No Contact Voltage check easily detected voltage when held up to an outlet or light switch but was unable to detect a live wire buried inside my wall.Excellent value for a very reasonable price.

Unfortunately, the meter I received is defective
I can’t really offer any insights to this meter. The one I received malfunctions and does not display any readings from either the clamp or the probe. I tried all ranges and the results are the same — no readings.

Every home owner should have one
Very easy to use. Great accuracy.

Basic functional clamp meter
This is a decent functional clamp multimeter that is reasonably accurate for home projects. It works good to tell if there is power on a line, and testing batteries. I also use it to test continuity on a circuit when I am doing auto work or ham radio projects. For what you pay for this it is well worth it for someone that isn't doing anything but home projects.

using in our home remodel
My husband is using this voltage testing meter right now in my kitchen to run new outlets to my coffee bar and my new kitchen Island. He is new to working with electricity, but this meter was easy for him to figure out and read. It's nice to be able to test for a hot wire without having to actually touch the wires. This multimeter has a lot of good features and seems accurate. My husband said at this point in his electrical work on our outlets, and ceiling lighting, he would recommend it.

Perfect for the non-electrician, beginner and intermediate experienced.
5 out of 5 Stars (5)⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐[TL;DR][QUALITY] (5/5)[VALUE] (5/5)[EASE OF USE] (5/5)[MET EXPECTATIONS] (5/5)[PACKAGING] (5/5)[REVIEW REMARKS]This meter came in a case. I love when products come with storage cases to protect them between uses.As a second encore, this meter also came with the necessary 2AAA batteries needed to power the meter.This product was ready to roll, straight out of the box. This is another bonus I enjoy when working with new products. Time-to-use is low, which is excellent in my books.The clamp and probes work as you would expect. The LCD is backlit and very easy to read at a glance. I used this device only once so far, as my need for a multimeter is not abundant. I also like that you can clamp it to an object and go 'hands-free' and use the probes without needing to hold the unit.I like the current detection feature. This will be excellent when trying to remember if you turned off the breaker, or if there is still power running on the line. Could be an injury-saver in the long run.All-in-all, this multimeter checked off a lot of the boxes of what I wanted in a multimeter. The price at the time of ordering was $29.99, which for me would be in line with what I would want to spend on this type of tool. Being a non-electrical professional, I found value in this. However, if you are a pro, you may want to go with something a little more pro-grade. This is definitely fine for novice, or even intermediate electrical experienced users. That is only my opinion thus far. As mentioned, I have only used it once so far and I am pleased with this product.In the event that experiences change or evolve, updates may be made to this review to address such developments.

good, if basic, non-contact + probe type multimeter
For context: we have several electricians and electronics technicians in our household and have some experience with more complex multimeters (Fluke) right up to oscilloscopes.The short of it: this unit IS accurate and quite budget friendly. Our biggest gripe is it's not super user-friendly - we'd like to have seen digital controls instead of a manual dial - and "auto-ranging" that's actually auto-ranging for Amperage. Further, as with ALL budget multimeters, we question the safety mechanisms. As such, we'd recommend limiting use to low-voltage applications or non-contact. In that role, this works fine and gets a tacit recommendation.

Quick and easy
This multi meter is great. it comes with a carrying case, batteries, positive and negative probes and an instruction manual. Some of the best features of this item are: current detection, clamp over wire, and adaptable probes. The current detection is activated by setting the machine to the sound icon then pressing the ncV button. Once you have done that you can point the device to an outlet that you are about to work on to make sure that the power is off. When a beep emits from the device, you will know that you did not turn off the proper breaker. The clamp of over wire feature is when you put a wire through the clamp at the top of the meter. This enables you to test the wire for current. And the adaptable probes has a plastic sleeve that comes off if you need to test circuits that have deep sockets where you need to get in to get an accurate reading. At this price it is a great value and a product everyone should own.
