Great Engine, great story...my game of the year

Fantastic game for anyone who loves strategy and/or sci-fi.

If you like the other Xcom's then you'll luv Xcom 2.I'm not here to tell you all about the game as you can have fun finding out for yourself! but what i will say is;This game is different in as much as; it's set 20 yrs later and you're fighting as resistance trying to beat the alien race that's taken over the world. So in that respect you don't have the resources and backing to start with, you have to work for them, as most countries governments have sided with the aliens as they believe they're here to help!The positives of the game;The graphics are excellent!Game play is excellent!There is more character building available that wasn't in previous Xcom's so you can really build the characters. Also you can change nationalities and there is a good selection of various voices too with different nationalities to chose from. There is also more scope to better your armour and weapons with good upgrades as you progress, and you'll need them too as the enemy has more resources so upgrading their troops is faster!The usual turn base battles are great for getting your battle strategies right. Get them wrong and they'll have ya!!I like this game more than the previous Xcom's, mainly because it's harder, even on easy level!! So it's way more of a challenge!I've not completed the game yet, and I've played it a lot!! But I'm close. On that note I probably could of finished by now but it's one of those games that I don't want it to end! so far the replay ability is great.The negative side;I'm three quarters through the game and when I go onto the world map now it freezes up from time to time! It's happend three times now and though I've not really lost anything, game wise, its a bit annoying! I'll be writing to the makers to see if its the game or it's my Xbox one S. Has anyone else had this problem? By the way, I've turned console off and on again, as it had frozen, and it's frozen at same point as before!! Hmm!As far as game play goes that's the only negative I have! Apart from that I luv it !!Top tips!;Resources and Intel rule!!Both Intel and resources are not easy to come by, more so with Intel, to start with so;Don't waste your resources at the start or you'll find yourself unable to build and without building facilities you can't upgrade.Also don't waste your Intel in the black market as you'll need Intel to contact other resistance groups, no Intel no new contacts! the more resistance groups you contact the more resources and Intel will come in monthly. .You're limited in the amount of troops you can get too and to get more you also need resources for buying them!Take your time in the combat missions, where you can, to get your skills spread out so let the lower ranks have the kills. If you're troops are injured and you don't have many troops available then you'll not have enough to send on missions! It's not funny only sending two when you need four! So take your time in missions!Have fun and enjoy!
