Simple and easy to install. Looks great!

It took literally 60 seconds to install and that included opening the small box the part was shipped in. Just use the supplied black sticky stuff and wade it up and place on your old button. Form a little pinch point for your fingers and let it bond about 10 to 15 seconds. Next grab the sticky stuff and yank it very fast and the button will come out. Lastly, replace with the new button. No need to take the engine start assembly out and dislodge the old start button! The black sticky stuff will come off the old button if you pull off slowly without any residue. My only suggestion is to have some instructions or an official youtube replacement video. I went to Kies Motorsport to follow their instructions how to best do it.

LOL this is the silliest upgrade but seems almost necessary. My push start button was getting a bit worn due to the wifes fancy nails tapping on it a few times week. I blame her. This Literally took 30 seconds to replace, looks OEM, gets laughs, and works perfectly. Cheers

Unwrap the putty, on the paper side, peel it and make sure it doesn’t touch the plastic (it’ll cling). Smush it onto your current old button, wait ten minutes, and then pull it directly outward! New one fit perfectly and looks great, no issues with font or fitment! Beats paying $50+ else where!

The company should have payed more heed to design & quality control. The “Start Stop” characters on the button are not completely parallel with the “Off” characters above it (See photos). Yes, it is installed correctly & I even removed it for inspection twice. It snaps into place in only one possible position. The font/characters are simply not oriented on the button correctly...

I needed to replace the "start" button cover in my 335I as the OEM button cover writings are all wiped out after years of use. I was excited to find this solution at Amazon. While the button cover was pretty nicely designed and quite easy to install, its how you need to take out the old one is where this package falls far short. First there's NO instruction in the tiny little jewelry box that the cover comes in, as to how to install the product. Granted, if you dig around the internet you'll see some examples to figure that out. Then in a tiny little ziplock bag, they included a "drop" size sticky putty to lift up the old button. Unfortunately, this little quantity of sticky putty (is so small that it) barely fits on the tip of your pinky and certainly not sufficient to create enough bonding to be able to lift off the old button. After several attempt and failure trying to utilize that putty included in the package, I used one of my flathead micro screwdriver to gently pry out the old button cover. Then the new one just snapped right into the slot for the old one. So thumbs up for the button cover, but two stars taken out for just dumping the product without any instruction, nor enough glue to take out the old button.

Since I bought this they have changed the description to state that it only fits up to 2016 F30’s...shame it wasn’t stated when I bought it as I was surprised to see it doesn’t fit when I tried to swap it out with my black one..thanks for wasting my time I appreciate it. Wish I could give less than one star.

unfortunately, this came to me broken. I was very disappointed because it looks like it was either broken before it was put in for transport or broke while in transport. given how well it was packed it's hard to see how it would have been damaged while being transported.

Works great, looks great. Adds a bit of sporty flair to the interior space. Of note, there are several installation videos out there that describe how to replace the OEM starter button cover. Some say to use an adhesive and just pull, others recommend to remove the whole starter button assembly. I did the former, and it was very easy to do, I used a small piece of Alien Tape attached to the handle of a screwdriver and just yanked quickly, the button cover came right off. Install was simple, just snapped the new button cover right in. Easy peasy.
