This is a lovely finishing powder which comes in a very solid sturdy compact making it easy to toss into your purse. I’m med light with neutral undertones and ordered this in the translucent. I’ve used the iconic Laura Mercier loose powder, but that’s more of a setting powder. This powder is perfect for topping off your completed face of makeup. At age 60 I love how light this is - absolutely doesn’t settle into my creases. This doesn’t come with a puff or brush. I typically use a brush, but I had an extra flat puff that fit easily into the compact when closed. I don’t feel this is a true translucent. It does blue and the shade smooths out evenly, but for WOC or darker skin tones you should definitely consider one of the darker LM finishing powders.

I just opened it today hoping to use it; then realised that the case arrived deformed and I can’t open it….

Works well for setting your makeup without adding meaningfully changing your look. The compact is good quality as well, so you don't have to worry about it making a mess by accidentally opening up.

I'm turning into a big Laura Mercier fan. Their products always seem to be a hit. I have very fair skin and ordered the translucent color. I loved the polished, natural look this gave my face. There was no creasing, and it smoothed out my oily skin. It didn't make my face look or feel cakey. It was very comfortable and breathable on my face. I love the case this came in. My skin is very sensitive, and this did not irritate my skin at all. I wish it came with a little powder puff, but I have a ton of makeup brushes, so it wasn't a big deal.
