The media could not be loaded. This is not my first Genbolt CCTV camera it is my first completely wireless one as to its solar powered.It is designed for outdoor use and is IP66 waterproof rated. The 4MP 2K super HD image sensor and 2.8mm lens produces superb video quality and a wide viewing angle of 120 degree’s.The camera can pan 355° horizontal and tilt 90° vertically via the app and although to be fair the movement is to slow for my liking it does allow you to monitor an even greater area from one single location.It is equipped with built-in spotlights and a smart PIR sensor that can detect people via body heat (37°C) to trigger alarms and notifications to your smart phone without false alerts from pets and animals.Stand out features are the built-in spotlights as well as the colour night vision and although not as good as other security cameras with dedicated spotlights the image is still good.Power is via the solar panel which charges the built-in 15000mAh high-capacity rechargeable batteries and the manufacturer claims it will last up to 180 days on standby. I’ve yet to test this claim but it will depend on a number of factors including your use case.A feature I really appreciate is the SD Card slot which allows you to record video locally on the camera without purchasing a subscription. This is a great option in my books as it save’s money.To view alerts and video you need to use the Genbolt app and thankfully it’s simple to use so no complaints there. Also if you have more than one compatible camera as I do you can use them within the same app.When installing the camera make sure to check the cameras Wi-Fi signal at the intended installation site before fixing the camera and the solar panel in place for optimum charging.All in all, this wireless solar powered CCTV camera stands out as it can be installed almost anywhere, has a solid feature set and is cheap enough not to break the bank.

This is my second camera from this brand, so far so good, Batley charging very well even in a dull day, and holding charge no problem. Ir qas very easy to install, 4G , works well. Have a human detection, which you can deactivate, control with app is super easy, on /off sound, recording with sound, good quality, crisp picture, night vision is brilliant, on 4G max £9 for a month. Good value for money. Recommended

For various reasons I've bought a 4 different Wi-Fi Security Cameras over the last few weeks. By testing these out I hope my following review provides useful information for people considering buying this GENBOLT Wi-Fi Security Camera compared with other similar products available on Amazon today.One major criteria when buying a security camera is resolution, a CCTV security device with less than 2.0MP 1080P resolution simply is not worth buying as you cannot really see things clearly which defeats the object especially if you want to capture the facial features of a burglar (recently I captured a burglar on an inferior 760P device, which was to grainy to capture facial details). The GENBOLT product has a good 2.0MP 1080P resolution which gives nice clear pictures so you can actually see what you are looking and capture facial details rather than a pixelated mess. The GENBOLT product provides much clearer image resolution than a CleverDog 960P Wi-Fi Security Camera, which at May 2017 retails for the same price, circa £50.Another selection criteria is ease of use of the software, many Chinese manufactured devices come with baffling support manuals and user interfaces that are badly thought out. Firstly, I found it easy to connect the GENBOLT Security Camera to my home Wi-Fi and the connection is very reliable. Secondly, the Pan Tilt and Zoom feature is easy to use and excellent especially when monitoring remotely from an iPhone, the zoom feature is not so good for close up as the picture becomes pixelated. Thirdly, the mobile application is not very user friendly, for example it is difficult to figure out the parameters to set in order to control the recording and retrieval of videos to/from a local SD SAN disk (which needs to be bought separately). So I docked a star on my rating for ease of use and hope that GENBOLT work on enhancing the mobile application that supports this product. Out of the 4 other security cameras I tested, the GENBOLT user interface was better and more intuitive than CleverDog 960P Wi-Fi Security Camera and UCAM247 Full HD Security Camera; but not as simple and intuitive as the Ring DoorBell Pro Security camera.In summary, this is well priced, the product is well made build quality and relatively easy to use with some great features. So it is a good product and I would recommend it for people looking for a low cost Wi-Fi Security Camera.

I've had an indoor Genbolt camera for years and it's been great, so I thought I'd try their solar one so I didn't need to run cables.So far it has proven very good. We haven't had enough sun to have it on constant record, but to just drop in and view the battery is full from the light we've had. It's very well built for the price and dead easy to fit. I knew it wasn't HD but for SD it's very good. The camera responds well to pan and tilt from the app, as does the basic zoom. It detects me on in the garden no problem. Night vision - black and white - is clear and covers a fair distance.It looks good on the wall, not an eye sore and the solar panel is remarkably small.I'd buy another Genbolt, but probably save a bit more for the HD one. Oh yes, the app is straightforward and easy to use, nothing over complicated and everything set up and ran no problem for me. Thanks
