They tie stuff down and keep it there
Good straps so far. Got them a few months ago as I wanted one to secure a hen house and the other for a lightweight rabbit hutch, to tie to ground anchors (see my review of those ground anchors elsewhere on Amazon 😃). That tie-down arrangement was just intended for normal winter winds but then Storm Eowyn came along (January 2025, if you’re reading this once we’ve moved on to other storms). I then used two more to tie our DIY rabbit run to ground anchors too. Everything’s survived unscathed, safely tied to the ground, and with no loosening or slipping of the straps. Straps were easy to fix - standard ratchet arrangements - and good that they thought to put a rubberised grip on the ratchet lever thingys. Hooks are a good size - robust but small enough to hook through 25mm wire mesh if needed to tie my rabbit run panels together. (I have some larger load ties that won’t do that because the hooks are too big.) Also easy to loosen off and remove when we move the rabbit run. Very happy and thinking about buying more to have on hand ‘just in case’. You can never tie too many things to the ground.

Works exactly as promised, used one to keep car wheel on car after 4 of the 5 lug nuts snapped.Meant we were able to use car dolly to move the car to a better place for repairs.

Did the job the strap can get a bit twisted up if you’re not careful but otherwise they seem solid

Decent ratchets but hooks are just too small.
Ratchet is decent quality but the hooks are too small to be of any use. Don't hook onto standard roof bars. Too wide to go under roof rails. The flat hook type are a better choice than these.
