Works as expected
Extends 8 GPIO (digital only), +5dc and ground from the board. Two rows of 5 pins. Typical jumpers fit well. A must have to use the GPIO pins

Underrated for automation
The Nextion setup (Enhanced and Intelligent) is capable of way more cool stuff than is advertised. I have these things setup on a pseudo-wireless network and use them for automation... they IO on these things work surprisingly well. Very neat devices for the money.

Does what it says, nothing much to it
Works as intended. I do wish that there were other options other than breaking the I/O out to a 2x5 header. I designed a second adapter board to break this one out to be more breadboard friendly.

No support. No Demo files. Avoid it.
Nection code in the tft IDE is a little different. I found no sample/demo files on how to utilize this expansion header and lack the experience to figure it out. Same is true for the other expansion board with buttons and beeper.All they would have to do is create a demo hmi file with each of the 8 io pins doing something different and a noob like me would be able to figure it out. 8 digital pins, of which 4 are pwm, wasted!So much potential, so much disappointment. If you are sharp enough to get it working please do a YT tutorial since Nextion can't be bothered over the last 3-4 years.
