I also like that it says the last time it was calibrated. As a scientist in the lab this was fantastic. Easy to explain to students, keeps staff accountable for calibrating before use, and with it being so user friendly it isn’t a hassle like on some meters.When compared to a Fisher Scientific Accumet pH meter model AB15 (FSA) , I found that the Jenco reached the final pH quicker than the FSA. Jenco pH readings were +/- .05 from the FSA and temperature reading within <1 degree of each other.I love the idea of it being wireless and Bluetooth. I can move it around the lab table without being tethered to the pH monitor itself. One set back in the lab was that it didn't quite fit in a lot of my laboratory glassware. But this pH meter is perfect for field testing, and the data save feature with the pro app comes in quite handy.Overall a great product. Perfect for field and home use. For the price you get a product that is measuring pretty much on the same level as an expensive pH meter. Laboratory wise: the size doesn’t fit in many of the containers I personally work with, I wish it did because it offers some great advantages. I really like the wireless set up, and save options.

I didn't realize when I ordered this meter that it didn't have a screen to display pH mesurements. You have to download an app to your phone and connect Bluetooth to use meter. Which wouldn't be all that bad if the app worked. It won't connect unless you force close the app, turn off bluetooth and meters power, then turn on bluetooth, then turn on meter, then open app. Even then it only connects 50 percent of the time. Pain in the butt. I even paid $10 bucks for the pro version of the app with hopes that it would work better but it doesn't. I would not recommend this meter to anyone.

App SUCKS

So I got this to test the PH levels in my swim spa. I have been using those quick test strips for some time and they never seem to read right. I have tried other digital testers in the past but always returned them. I'm hoping this one will be different. SO FAR it seems to work. After calibrating it in some distilled water I tried it on the spa and pool. The spa was around 6.9ish and the pool was 7.7-7.8. The temp is a nice addition which was reading around the temp the water was in both. + or - .1 or .2 deg. Comparing this to the test strips the digital meter is close so we will see how it goes.The major reasons for the 3 stars would be for the condition the tester arrived in. Around the cap at the bottom of the tester appeared to be what looked like dried super glue. A shown in the pictures there is some kind of crystal or residue on the tester and the cap. This could imply this one had been used and returned, but who knows. As of now the rating stands and depending how the tester works, I might change it later.

This ph meter works pretty great, the read out from your phone feels easier to read out than on any tiny lcd black and grey screen. I believe that the best part of this product would be the attention from customer support that makes you feel not only did you buy a meter but a support group in case of any question or help regarding the product.

Like many others, this item arrived with granular material dried on the bottom... I suspect this was residue from early calibrating. I didn't use this right away, fully expecting it to work out of the box. When I started it up, I realized it had to be calibrated first, and I have not been able to successfully accomplish this. At best, the meter has read a pH 7 test solution as 10 or more! The website says to keep the bulb wet. Great: that would have been nice to know when I got it and it clearly was dry when I received it. I might be able to make it work if I replace the bulb mechanism. I've never had any trouble with cheap pH meters, and I thought this would be better, but so far it's been an utter waste of money.Update: I contacted the company and explained my problems. They shipped me a new pH Tester and it now works perfectly! Lesson to learn: keep bulb wet if not used regularly.

The meter I was sent was filthy, covered in a crusty grey film as if it had been used before. I can’t trust a device that looks like it was returned for some reason. I can’t figure out how to get in touch with the sellers, so I don’t know how to get a new one. Worse still, as I’m Canadian, we had to pay duties and taxes on it, so if I buy another, I’ll have to pay it all again. I’m so disappointed as I loved my Jenco pH 630 so much and expected a similar experience with this one.

The media could not be loaded. This is a quality product. I was a bit skeptical buying this from the reviews last year but I didn't have any shipment issues or product issues as mentioned. So far it seems to be a well designed instrument, calibration solutions were included as well as batteries and good instructions.Like most I had been using quick test strips and they never seem to read right. I have tried many digital testers, some more expensive and some much cheaper. I'm only writing this as I'm surprised to say that I probably will be keeping it as it's much better than I expected.
