It seemed to work for anti-gulping but dogs became very ill
I have 2 Toy Fox Terriers, they are crated during the day while I'm at work, when I get home I take them out to potty and I give them fresh water, they usually drink so fast the gulp so much air and then they vomit up the water everywhere. Two weeks after I got it I came home, took the dogs out, gave them water in the bowl, then about 30 minutes to an hour later my youngest dog came to me and she clearly looked ill, her ears were down, she was wobbly, she was holding her head very high and swallowing hard because she was hypersalivating, I'm sure she was very nauseated and was trying not to vomit. At this point the dogs had not eaten dinner, they'd only had water. I wasn't sure what was going on with her so sat down and I held her, hoping whatever it was would pass. After about 30 more minutes of this the other dog came to me acting the same way. My youngest by then had vomited clear liquid, a couple of blades of grass, and some foamy stuff. Both dogs were moaning and trembling.I waited for a little while to see if it would pass, I attempted to give them some clear chicken broth but neither of them would drink it. I was concerned by then that maybe they had injested something in the back yard, even though I went outside with them and didn't see them eat anything, and there was nothing in their vomit other that the blades of grass in the youngest dog. After a couple of hours I decided to take them to the Blue Pearl ER. After many exams, and blood work on both dogs, and over $500.00, they received a shot for nausea and we finally went home at 1:00 am. By then the youngest dog was feeling good again, and the other one was listless, trembling, moaning, and cried out when her belly was touched. I sat up with her until past 3 am when she finally quit moaning and fell asleep. They did the blood work to see it there were any toxins present, and something about liver enzymes and kidney function would alos indicated if there were any toxins ingested. All of the tests were negative. That was a terrible, scary night for them and me. They recovered and haven't had any problems until 3 nights ago. That evening was an exact repeat of what happened the last time they were ill. They drank water out of that bowl and that was the only thing they had. Except this time the older dog vomited 4 times, large amounts of clear liquid plus foamy stuff. And I couldn't afford to take them to Blue Pearl again. I gave each of them some pepto bismol and tried to make them comfortable. They both were trembling and moaning and crying out when their bellys were touched. I stayed up with them and finally fell asleep around 3 am, I woke at 5 am and they weren't moaning but still didn't look like they felt well. Finally they appeared to be feeling better by around 10 am.The next day I was getting ready to wash the water bowl and refill it with fresh water, when I picked up the float it felt different, I shook it and could tell that there was water inside it. I hadn't realized that it was hollow before. I starting trying to pull the two pieces apart so I could get the water out, it was kind of difficult but finally all of a sudden it came apart and the water spilled out and it smelled HORRIBLE! It smelled like SEWER!I'm wondering if it had been holding water, and saliva, I'm sure that was just sitting in there growing all sorts of bacteria, and maybe enough leaked out that made them sick. I don't know for sure but I've had the bowl for over two months now and never knew the float was hollow or taking on water.I won't be using the float anymore, and the bowl itself isn't worth $16.99

Does not tip but it does something else!
I know I gave it 3 stars... I love this bowl. It is truly untippable. However, my little guy found a different way to entertain himself with this bowl. He likes spinning the disc then pushing down on it to create a little geyser. I’d like to say it’s cute (super cute) but the mess was not so cute. My daughter took a video of him doing this. Since then I’ve taken this bowl outside and lessened the amount of water until he outgrows his mischievous puppy curiosity 😁It is a very good looking bowl and holds a lot of water. I won’t return it, as I think he will learn how to respect it 😁

No more throwing up!!
My Husband's dog is a constant drinker. He will drink an entire bowl of water until it's gone and then throws up afterwards. I bought this bowl with hopes it would slow him down and encourage him to drink slower, allowing him to digest the water and not throw it all up. This bowl is our saving grace! He has now learned to pace himself while drinking. Hasn't thrown up once after drinking and we are actually able to keep water in the bowl without him feeling the need to drink it all in one sitting. If anyone has a dog like ours that feels the need to drink it all down in one sitting...I HIGHLY recommend this bowl.

Awesome bowl for messy drinkers
This water bowl is amazing. My dog is such a messy drinker, there would be a pool of water around her waymter bowl. Now there is little to no water being splashed while she is drinking. The green part floats on top of the water in the bowl. When your animal drinks from the bowl only a small amount of water is available, keeping splashing to a minimum.

This really doesn't work any better than a normal bowl.
We have a labradoodle and the water just pours out of this dogs mouth and bottom of his facial hair. So I figured we would try this bowl and it just doesn't work. I should take a video because I'm not just exaggerating. I follow him with a towel after he does a lot of running and drinks heavily. I would assume this may work for a smaller dog but for a 60lb dog forget it. I am very disappointed and still haven't found an answer because it's truly aggravating that it's all over my floors constantly. the product doesn't work but the bowl is a nice size and is nice and light.

It really works!
We have 3 dogs and tile floor that typically has water drips all around the kitchen from the dogs drinking their water then Leaving drops of water all around the area. We thought we would try this drip less water bowl and there at no drips. It took a couple days to show them how to use it but now they drink from this bowl and my tile is drip free. Amazing.

Slobber stopper!
This bowl is one of those things that's so ridiculously simple that you're shocked when it works. And boy, it sure works. Our most recent four-legged addition is a severe water gulper. She would leave trails of water everywhere after drinking. This bowl completely solved the issue! The other animals had no issue switching to this bowl. Cleaning the bowl is easy too as the disk just pops right out when you dump the bowl in the sink.

Does the job
This bowl is great, however it didn't get rid of the drops completely, but for the most part there is no spills. I can handle a few droplets rather than a puddle of water!
