Incredible coffee. We’ve been purchasing it for years now, and they’ve never missed. It lasts us about 2 months. The coffee is always consistently roasted. Flavor is subjective but if I could only ever drink coffee from one type of bean for the rest of my life it would be this. Recently I experimented with cheaper beans and it was a mistake. Never going to stop ordering as long as they make it.

Flavor for this bag was consistent, full bodied, no burned, acidic, or bitter flavor at all throughout the bag. A good cup of coffee using the pour over method.

Kenyan coffees are among the most admired among coffee experts. These coffees are complex and often possess deep berry notes. Kenya only began cultivating coffee in the early 1900s. Much of the great coffee of Kenya comes from high altitude growing regions just north of Nairobi. “AA” is the highest grade in Kenya based on bean size. Recommended brew style is pour over or drip. This one is my preferred coffee bean, since Kona and Jamaican Blue Mountain are off the chart in price per pound.

It was awesome to be able to choose my roasting level. We always drink Kenya coffee. We wanted to try a blonde roast and Smokin Beans did just what I asked. Wonderful coffee, wonderful company!

Supposedly "medium" roast does not smell right and is too bitter.

I've now ordered 2 times from Smokin Beans and both times I've ordered 5 Lbs. whole beans in a single bag. Both times I've received EXCELLENT quality single origin coffee (Kenya AA Medium Roast, Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Blonde Roast) and both times the entire bag was evenly roasted EXACTLY as I ordered. Beans taste old Stale

Had a few bad beans. Definitely not Smokin Beans fault. I have ordered from other suppliers and same problem. I think Costa Rica is having issues with the crops. But still the best tasting coffee in the world.
