Rick Steves Pocket Amsterdam

Rick Steves' books and shows are excellent resources for traveling. This is why his books are the only ones I look for just before planning a trip. This is the first time for a couple traveling with us to travel to Europe. I thought that giving them this pocket guide will give them an idea of what to expect. "Pocket" or not, this book has many useful tips and lots of colorful pictures. and even includes a map. I bought a pocket guide for each of the cities we will visit. And although we have been to these cities before, reading this book made us view those cities with fresh eyes. And thus, we have picked a few more places and activities to include on our tours.

This was a very helpful guide while traveling to Amsterdam earlier this year. The size is ideal to pack in a small bag while traveling.

Really liked the book, very helpful

When we went to Amsterdam, I wanted an easy to carry, pocket-sized book with maps and guidance for walking, using mass transit and sightseeing. Rick Steves' book did just that. It let me know where I was, what I was seeing and how to get around.

This book has some nice color pictures but is a small sizs of book which results in smaller print

As it states, very specific to Amsterdam. It is compact and will be easy to carry. It has most, if not all, the data from Rick Steves big book. We have already made our hotel reservations from information in the book and will be pre booking the sites we intend to see during our stay. Rick Steves travel books have always been our go to source of travel information

Great Maps. Routes. Museum Info. Direct and to the point. A useful guide especially for your first trip.
