Impressive quality. The hilt is metal and the "blade" a very durable plastic. The only way I can see the blade breaking is if you intentionally slam it really hard on a sharp table edge or a surface like concrete. When installed, the blade length is 22" which is a perfect length for any age. Some of the other light saber blades are 28" or 32", both of which would be way too big for my 4 year old to handle.SoundOf the 4 sound effect modes, 2 sound just like the movies. The other 2 are meh. Speaker has 3 volume options and the loudest setting is loud enough. Any louder and you'd have to yell over it lol.LightLight and colors are more than fine. Plenty of options and bright enough to use during day.ControlsControls take some time to get used and could be tough for younger kids. There is only one button for ALL settings. This is for durability reasons. Better to have a single, durable, hard to misclick button than several flimsy ones that can get in the way of a battle!

My son loves this toy. We've been playing together slashing and hacking with this toy. Even better when you do it with lights off!! Very good quality. However, wear protective gloves. It will break your bone when a 7 year old swings and hits your finger. Took me some practice to get him a good revenge.

These are fantastic! The handles are heavy, seem to be quality material. The light and sound options are terrific, once you get the hang of using the buttons. Connected and used as one, it's pretty hefty.Charging does take awhile. Be sure to use the charging cable that comes with them; we tried to charge using our own cable and it didn't charge at all.The kids take them out to battle almost nightly and they've held up well, no issues.The kids love them, the husband loves them, I love them. Fun times for all.

Nice metal hilts the programing is a bit of a pain but worth the cost.

Sturdy lightsabers that seem like they'll hold up for a long time. My boys love playing with them and I really like the weight and the feel of them, especially the metal handle. Keep the inserted manual, there's lots of different sound and light effects but they're all accessed by different presses of one button.

Both my 5 year old grandson and nephew love their light sabers. They’ve gotten a lot of play out of them. They light up very brightly. Would recommend.

I ordered these so that I could duel with my daughter from time to time and they are perfect. Assembly is as easy as removing the plastic on the "blades" and using the three setscrews to attach the blade to the handle. Be sure and loc-tite the screws if you plan on dueling!! The electronics are EASY to use with a series of pulses that just take a minute to understand and the board comes with multiple sound profiles. Smooth swing works well and clash does too, although I will say that if you loc-tite the blade in and have a firm grasp clash may not activate each time as the sensor seems to be toward the hilt and might not receive enough shock for a trigger (is this a big deal- NO). For the cost, these sabers are a great size for in-house dueling and for kids, work great, and look awesome.... this is coming from someone who didn't expect nearly as much for the price.

Very disappointed - my boys wanted this so bad. When it came it worked well for about 24 hours. Then the noise stopped working and the light died shortly after.We ordered a replacement which was shipped right away. Unfortunately, the replacement didn’t work well at all. Light didn’t turn on - but the noise did.Seller did refund us, so that’s good.
