After crossing an ocean to get married, I have slowly been rebuilding my tool collection, which I could not afford to bring here. What have I missed most? A good set of screwdriver bits. Men will understand why. Ladies, let me convince you why your husband will appreciate a gift of this kind.I tried explaining tools to my wife as ’jewelry for men’. Neat little sets of sparkling tools in their own little box, each tool with its allotted space. I don’t think this persuaded her, but the real joy of tools is knowing what they can do, and most of all, you know you will never be stuck for something to do a particular job with. And mmm, that reassuring smell and feel of light machine oil!Magnetic bits not only save wasted time trying to keep screws in place whilst you drive them in, thus preventing exasperation and bad temper, they can also be used to hunt through the carpet for any small screws you have dropped. In short, the man in your life will cuss less and be nicer to be around. All for ten bucks!Some jobs, particularly on cars, just can’t be done without a screwdriver bit with a longer reach. This is where this particular set really scores. You can put together a ratchet, a little extender and a bit to go in it, but when you reach over the engine and the bit falls out of the extender and into the wiring loom, you are going to be really annoyed. These long reach bits cut out the need for the extender and make it ten times less likely something will end up lost in the engine. It is always the type of bit you most need that gets lost. And if you’re unlucky, you can get to listen to it rattle around in the engine whilst you’re driving for a good while afterwards!I’m still rubbing my fingers at the familiar feel of light machine oil. There are so many things about good tools you just can’t get most women to appreciate. But your man will appreciate you when you give him a set like this 😊

The tools weren’t like I expected them, b/c there were no slotted bits.They so seem to be pretty good ones.

These are well made and easy to use. I love that they are magnetized. They fit perfectly in the holder that come with the set and makes storage easy. Makes them easy to keep together for use.

This set is made for use in impact applications with high torque conditions and where bits need to take some stress. The set comes with 3 standard Phillips head bits, 3 pozidrive bits (not interchangeable with Phillips but they look nearly alike), and 4 torx bits of varying size. If you are looking for everyday bits for fairly routine applications then these are overkill and you can get more variety for your money in common bit sets. If you need the capability these bits provide then you have a well rounded set that covers an array of common bit sizes as shown in the description. It’s more than enough for everyday applications and breezed through my use of the PH2 bit for a small wood project and T30 bits which I used to screw in 3 and 4 inch torx head wood screws when building some frames for a chicken coop. No issues in either case and the frames took a good bit of torque to drive home. The bits come in their own holder and a transparent plastic case with a small clasp which makes it convenient to drop in your tool bag to have the capability when needed. For what they are - affordable and worth the very limited investment.
