The Vevor wheel alignment tool worked great. An affordable option to taking it in to a service center, especially if you have a hot rod or custom car that needs a special lift. I like to do my own work on my cars and this was a must have tool.

After assembling everything I took my digital calipers to all of the posts that are installed. There's up to 1mm of difference between them if you just screw until tight. I put some loctite on the plastic bolts and tightened very snug. Then using the digital caliper I tightened the long one of each matching pair until they were equal to 0.1mm. A 1mm difference on the toe setting is about .1degrees which is quite a bit.Next I checked the tape measures. One was exactly 1mm shorter than the other one. So I wrote on that one to add 1mm to the measurement. Without these steps the toe measurement could have been off by .2 degrees. Considering the spec for my car is 0 +- 0.2, I would have been out of spec.Now for the camber measurement. The protractor tends to shift in it's position. You have to fix this and make sure the protractor is locked into place. I started taking some test measurements. First, Zero the protractor on the ground, then take my camber measurement.With these fixes I think I can get an ok alignment. If you just assemble and go you're going to get into the playing field, but most likely not going to be good enough.To summarize, I spent half a day trying to use this to align just the rear of the car. Measure, jack up car, make adjustments, roll car out of garage and back in, then check alignment again. I must have done this over a dozen time and it's still not good enough. I gave up and plan to take my car to a shop to have an alignment done proper. This is one of those things where I think I can save a few buck and do it myself, but wind up wasting time and money.

Nicely made but I think something that mounts directly to wheel would be far more consistent.

The material for the tool is very good, nice thick stainless steel. I have debated a while if I want to keep this or return it. At the end I have decided to return the tool because it is very hard to get a good alignment from this tool. The concept sounded but there are too many parts, too many variable. Since you are measuring down to the mm, any little gap or if the plates are not perfectly straight to the ground, it will change the reading. Also, storage is a big issue, I am in Southern California and it gets hot here. Garage here get up to 120F in the summer and could it wrap the plates? So if there is any wrap or little bent to the plates will make this tool useless. I believe you can't get a easy alignment from this type of system, you need the once clamp to the wheel. Overall, this is a good quality tool for the price but just not easy to use.
