The powder is dark green and has a real earthy green taste to it when I drank it with water. The bag has a very tight seal to it. So open the bag each time very carefully or the powder may poof out the top. As with other supplements of the Dr. Mercola's brand I found this to be made of quality products. Though I did read up on the fermented versus broken cell wall chlorella, I still feel that this product is a good choice. You get forty-five servings in each bag. I found that this goes great in my morning protein shake, where the chocolate protein masks the earthy green flavor very well. This is a great way to get more vitamins, minerals, and amino acids into your daily nutrition plan.

I’m a big fan of Dr. Mercola and his work and his products. I had not bought this fermented chlorella with chlorophyll powder from his line before, so I was looking forward to trying this out.It is a fine dark green powder, and has a very earthy flavor, but the flavor is nice and light; not overpowering, so you can drink it with water as-is, or can mix it with any other drink you normally have (whether it be a smoothie or tea, etc.). And it also dissolves in water (or any beverage) very well and easily. Just mix 1 teaspoon of the powder with any 8oz drink and you’re all set!I appreciate that it is non-GMO and that the powder doesn’t contain any fillers or artificial flavors. I also appreciate that they fermented the chlorella for easy digestion and to enhance absorption.It is very gentle on the digestive system, and as I have a very sensitive stomach, I would be able to tell if it contained anything in it that it shouldn’t. This quality powder has been able to be digested easily with any beverage that I have mixed it with, and I’m looking forward to its continued health benefits as I continue to take it each day.

I didn't know much about chlorella until recently, but I was very familiar with Dr. Mercola and his products. His name alone is a good guarantee of a product's quality. This is better than regular chlorella because it is fermented, which makes it easier to digest. Chlorella is very nutrient-dense and can help detox your body, which is one of the main reasons I decided to give it a try.I was planning to add it to smoothies because I didn't know if I would enjoy the taste otherwise. But after reading the reviews, I decided to try mixing it with just water and it is not unpleasant. It does have an earthy taste, like others have said, which is kind of common with many other green blends, in my experience. I've also mixed it with green tea and matcha tea and I've enjoyed it both ways.I think the price is fair for a good-quality supplement. This provides 45 servings, so more than a month's worth, for $19, which is less than most supplements cost. I imagine it will take a few months before I can notice significant changes, so as with all supplements, don't expect immediate results! I will say that it does digest easily and it does not make me bloated like some green plants do!

Dr. Mercola is normally a reliable brand. This chlorella is sourced from South Korea. The big problem is that it is not broken cell wall chlorella which allows the nutrients to be utilized by humans. Fermentation does soften the cell wall but does not break it so that the nutrients are released. Do you own research; it's easily available information. In addition, the packaging is messy. Anyone using it will have to transfer the very messy (it will turn anything dark green) powder into another container. This product has caused me to question Dr. Mercola products, sadly.
