For 2014 Jeep that has a wide spare wheel on the rear
Needed to just long enough to get pasted my 12.50" wide tire on the back of my Jeep. This one is the perfect size. Easy to install but does not come with any locking pins.

Built well but was loose in my receiver
This thing seems to be built pretty stout. My only complaint is that it fit very loose in the receiver on my Jeep Liberty. It is a 3rd party receiver(not made by Chrysler) and am not sure if it was the receiver, this extension or a combination of both. Anyways, it was unacceptably loose for holding a bike rack as the rack would just bounce around like crazy.I ended up welding 16 ga steel plates to the top and side if the portion that slides into the receiver. This tightened it up so that there is almost zero play now. It holds the bike rack really steady.

This item was just what I needed. I can now open my tailgate with out hitting the jack on the trailer.

Solid extension
Im using this piece of kit to allow the rear door of my Suv to open when the cargo carrier is attached to the hitch. Worth noting however that this reduces the ground clearance and grinds into the dirt an certain dips on 4x4 trails - not the fault of this item but worth noting

Works great, but had to order a second one.
This installed great in our Jeep Wrangler hitch. We used an anti-rattle bracket to secure it tightly (buy TWO anti-rattle brackets - one for this and hitch and one for this and bike rack).Unfortunately, when we swung open the bike rack, the back door of the Jeep wouldn’t open. The spare tire couldn’t clear the bike rack.We ordered the same extension with a 4” drop and it works great. Should have measured before ordering!
