Good quality and features but grossly overpriced
I have mixed feelings about this light and wanted to wait to review it until I had some time with it. I initially ordered the natural white but found it far far too warm to be considered natural/neutral - they list it as 5000K but it looked more toward 4000K to me, quite warm. I returned and ordered the cool white, which is actually pretty nice and seems around 5500K, nice and crisp with only slight yellow/green with a hint of violet in the spill, but no blue and no rings or overly tight hotspot - well balanced and perfect for a light in this form factor. The first unit was the current/updated charging port model and the second (which I kept) was unfortunately the older model (both sent in the first part of November 2018). I say unfortunate because besides the charging port, the head on the older version is VERY difficult to turn while the updated version was stiff but could still be turned with one hand. This was important for my use of this light and a major con for me so if it's important to you maybe contact the seller to verify what you will receive. Additionally, the second light was clearly not brand new although the box was taped/sealed and appeared new. There was a decent scratch in the clip channel and the battery negative showed scoring such that it had obviously been installed/used more than a few times. I didn't press the issue but upon contact the seller simply assured me that the light was new. For the cost of this light, it should be New-New without question. But a minor issue and the battery, while not the best quality or capacity, seems fine and has had a lot of use from me, charging both in the light and in a separate charger. The light will accept protected or unprotected cells, button or flat, and also the usb-charge model batteries such as what Nitecore, Fenix, Folomov offer.I also purchased the nifty little Nicron N7 angle-twist AA light and to be honest even though it is not nearly the same quality build has fewer features and cheap anodizing, I actually prefer that light for a number of reasons (and it doesn't hurt that it is 1/4 of the cost compared to the Rofis). The Nicron also accepts 3.7v or alkaline/NiMH batteries, has a good neutral white tint (with a hint of green on low), and it only has two bright modes, but it throws farther, lasts longer on a charge with every battery I tested compared with run times on the Rofis, and the head is easier to turn one handed, and has a functional anti-roll hexagonal tailcap - the tailcap magnet on the Nicron is also noticeably stronger than the Rofis and it will stick better on a variety of surfaces. With the Rofis you get a very nice moonlight mode, e-lockout and great anodized threads for mech lockout, good glass lens, three general brightness settings (so it's better for close quarters/inspection work ), and a decent pocket clip, all in a very compact form. I don't think it is worth sixty dollars but you might see it on a black friday sale for forty-one dollars or you could order it directly from china for about that same discount (which brings it to the high end of reasonable for this package, imho). All in all a very nice light if you can get it for a discounted price and perhaps buy a higher quality cell if you want to run lithium 3.7. Were it not for the inflated pricing and tint discrepancies, I would give it four stars. It is not a five star light but a very good one.

Good light, really small, some issues
So I wanted a light like the older army flashlights that we at a 90 degree angle that you could use clipped to your jacket. This is not like that really m, it’s micro sized in comparison but is basically the same effect as far as use goes. It has 3 levels of brightness, one that’s really dim which is great if your eyes are adjusted to the dark and you just need a little light for a moment. The bright setting is about as bright as I ever would need I think. One thing that bugs me super bad, and is why less than 5 stars is given - the clip covers the switch to turn it on and off if you want to use it clipped to something. I could come up with a lot of ways this could easily be fixed and assume whoever designed it does not understand why people would want a light that is bent at 90 degrees. Maybe they never field tested the product, I don’t know. I think it’s really bad though as it makes me not like the light. Sure I can just twist the clip and then use the button but it’s a design flaw that would be really easy to fix in production and probably not cost much if anything to do really. You could literally just put the button on a different side and rotate the innards, no extra parts or anything. So it bugs me enough to the point I’ll keep looking for a light I like. For this price I feel that it isn’t unreasonably out of line to expect a little better in functionality. The charger is also a pain, I can totally see it getting lost and seeing as it’s a proprietary charging connection replacing it isn’t the easiest thing. Would be better, despite my hatred of mini usb, to use the same thing most phones use so it would be easy to charge regardless if I lost this little cable. Otherwise it’s not bad.

Good
This has impressed me. I recently bought a Nicron N7 and an Olight S1R II which I'll make some comparisons to because I might not be the only one looking at these for a little workhorse.First, this light is basically flawless in my book. It's tiny, bright, takes AA or 14500s, and has a swivel head that I wanted for work plus a magnetic charger as a bonus. I got this for about $41 and it has features you'd normally expect in a $50-70 flashlight. The construction is solid. The battery indicator on the button is a nice touch, it'd be even nicer if it had green / orange / red or displayed while the light was on like some other flashlights (Olight). Hard to nitpick something most flashlights don't have at all though. My notes here will be assuming use of a 14500 lithium battery. So to compare it to the Nicron N7 (~$17 when I bought it): the magnet in the Rofis is weaker than the Nicron, and that's the only con in this section. I feel like I could easily knock it off the hood of a car etc, but it won't fall off on it's own. On the Rofis the swivel is tighter, the body is shorter, the button is more crisp and harder to push (better for pocket carry), the clip is sturdier, and the brightness modes are superior to the simple high/low/strobe scheme on the Nicron. Turbo is brighter than the Nicron's high mode. I'd say medium / high on the Rofis are roughly equivalent to low / high on the Nicron. To compare it to the Olight S1R II (~$65 at the time I bought it): Turbo and the first 1.5 minutes of high on the Olight are noticeably brighter than anything the Rofis can do. The modes are otherwise pretty similar, however my personal preference leans toward how the Rofis operates here. I prefer the way the Rofis has fairly predictable and consistent differences between low / med / high with no timer on high, and Turbo lasts twice as long before kicking down to avoid overheating. The Olight in comparison has a huge difference between medium and the first 1.5 minutes of high, which I don't like and would rather that be left to Turbo. One other thing I like better about the Rofis is that it handles moonlight separately from the remembered mode. For example if you have it set to high but switch it off and hit moonlight then turn it off again, the next power on will be high. The Olight remembers moonlight and you'd have to step back up to high. You can still step up from moonlight to low and above on the Rofis, though. So all things considered, my opinion is you can't really go wrong between this and the Olight but the Rofis strikes me as a slightlymore useful EDC at a lower price. The Nicron is a nice work light without all the bells and whistles, but I would not carry it on me. Hope this helps someone make the decision.Update: okay, not quite flawless. I ordered a second one of these for a backup and tested it out. I noticed the first one had a slight greenish tint when shining next to anything else that doesn't, but it seemed minor and I didn't think it was worth mentioning. The second one is very noticeable unless it's the only light visible and it bothers me more than I thought it would. I don't think I've ever had an XM-L2 light that looks that way. I still maintain that it's a very handy light and performs well. Worth the money unless the tint might bother you, apparently there's a game of chance with that.Despite what I said about this being the more useful EDC, I've found myself mostly carrying this at work and the Olight when I'm anywhere else.

So versatile. Love it
Came extremely quick. Used a dozen plus times. Love the wide white beam. Multi settings spaced well for me. Head band super handy for hands free and have aldready used outdoors several times. Versus normal headtorch it does miss out on red light, which many probably never use, however it does have a low moonlight setting if your trying to keep some of your own night vision.
