Great safe

Cheap alternative if all you want is to keep little hands out... but don't waste your time if you have anything of real value that needs to be kept safe. This is junk!Although the description says Fireproof/Waterproof I would not trust it! This 6.1 cu ft safe is lightweight and cheaply made. The interior compartment is a waste of space as the door for this is cheap plastic! It is also supposed to have another "hidden" compartment on the floor of the same but did not! Bait/switch?? The reset button was broken so we had to take the inner panel off to get to the mechanics and manually press the reset button to set out security code. The cheap interior light was also broken which we found inside the inner panel.I would have returned it had my husband not torn and thrown away the boxes it came it.Very disappointed with this purchase - Buyers remorse and wasted money!

I purchased 2 safes…after helping my 97 year old dad with his safe, we both found out it was not easy enough to operate for “either of us!” Didn’t bother opening the second one for myself after our experience with the first one. Darn!

It is just what we wanted.

-The door does not open fully which makes it difficult to access the interior.-If it is on the floor, one needs to have a small stool in front of it to get inside otherwise it's difficult to get to what you need.-Two keys; only one works.-Key pad does not work.-No interior lights go on.-Unless one is a handy person, you would need to have it installed. It is also very heavy; a hand truck is needed to get it inside the home & area to be installed.-I don't think the "hidden area" is actually not hidden; very easily seen when door is open.-The pocket on the inside door is useless.-Would have been better to have more hanging spaces for long necklaces.

Large size, easy to set up actually if you find the reset button. Sturdy. Internal layout is nice looking. But the instruction is not detailed enough for the setup. But overall very nice for the price.

Probably the cheapest made item I’ve ever bought. Don’t waste your time or money it’s not even worth the price. There’s more plastic than actual metal seems like. Wouldn’t trust that it is fireproof or waterproof either. Just bite the bullet and buy something a little more expensive that is Made In USA. Lesson learned.

I bought this hoping it would offer some fire protection (as it mentions) in addition to theft protection. The safe has no insulation so it is NOT fire-safe. The quality is also lacking - as the interior of the safe is cheaply done, with lots of plastic (including the lockbox section at the top being almost entirely plastic). I guess it's a budget item so you can't expect much, but I would've liked it to actually offer some fire protection like they say it does. My safe also came with a fair amount of damage to the interior finish - likely damage done during shipping. Unfortunately because it's so heavy and only comes in the shipping box (which you have to cut apart to get to the safe from) I don't have a way of returning it.
