Cyclops 1,500-Lumen Tactical Flashlight (CYC-TF1500) (GSMCYCTF1500), Black

This is the 2nd Cyclops Tactical CYC-TF1500 Flashlight that we own. We purchased one for our RV a couple of years ago, it is great. We kept having to "borrow" it from the trailer to use in our house, so I bought one for my husband for Christmas this year. It gives and amazing amount of light and has different settings to choose from. I do not have good vision at night and especially appreciate this flashlight

I needed an extremely bright flash light and this works perfectly. Working in steel construction often a regular flash light is good but not always. This is adjustable brightness and works great for what I need it to.

This has been an excellent flashlight so far. It is incredibly bright and has good low/medium/high settings. Focusing is easy without feeling "loose" and I can confidently focus the beam of light on objects over 100ft away at the lowest setting and it's like seeing that object in daylight. The size of the flashlight is also good. Not huge, but not too small for the hand, either. Not "pocket-sized," like others with a lower output, but it feels good in the hand under all-weather conditions and has an appropriate weight.My favorite aspect of this flashlight is that it takes user-replaceable batteries (6xAAs). They get HOT, which is fine in the winter but I would avoid running the flashlight for more than 15-20 minutes at a time to prolong the life of the batteries and the flashlight's electricals. I do not run NiMH or Lithium batteries in this flashlight.We'll see how long the electronics and wiring in this unit last. It definitely will not last as long as the LED is rated for, but for the price it's a worthy investment.

Great price on a VERY bright light. I love that it stays on one mode. You don't have to flip through modes. A full click turns it on and another full click turns it back off. When it is on you can kind of half click to change modes. Then whichever mode is selected is what will be on when you full click off and back on.

First impression: As wanted, will enhance personal safety while race walking. Be aware It is larger than most "Tactical" lights - extends a couple of inches beyond my fist. Simple one switch Hi-Lo-SOS flash. If you want high beam for security, shut it off and click twice past the other two settings, It is ready for one push high beam next time. Bezel turns for spot to flood, and appears to be better sealed than slide versions. Uses six AA batteries. Tip for inserting batteries in holder: drop the first battery in the slot at the top, and let it slide down to the base spring. Would have saved bit of time if that were included in directions.

Batteries are new, switch measures good on ohm meter. Bulb flashed on when trying to remove head to check contacts for bulb. Can’t get the head off to check contacts or replace bulb, if needed.

This is a nice focus able flashlight. The head turns to focus like a maglite. All my other lights the focus is controlled by sliding the head forward and aft which is a real pain when extracting it from a pouch or holder. The only quirky thing is when it's zoomed all the way in the beam is square but so are many other flashlights. I'd buy another in a heartbeat if I lost the one I own.

Excellent flashlight, very bright and perfect for a correctional officer doing night checks. Lights up an entire cell. Would recommend

A real good quality bright light for safety

It really is as bright as they say. It takes a lot of batteries, (6) but if use rechargeable it’s not so bad.The CREE XHP50 LED is pretty well the brightest you can get in a handheld flashlight.
